The result of the move request was: No move as of yet. The proposed name will be created as a redirect; in the event that someone creates and article on the town (or another ambiguously titled article), this article can be moved. Additionally, it can be moved to the "d'el Rei" spelling if that turns out to be the better spelling.--Cúchullain t/c 19:21, 2 June 2014 (UTC)
Oque d'El Rey → Desportivo de Oque d'El Rei – This is the correct name of the club. --Relisted. Andrewa (talk) 19:58, 18 May 2014 (UTC) --Relisted. Armbrust The Homunculus 17:59, 10 May 2014 (UTC) Fayçal.09 (talk) 21:04, 29 April 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose? I think we use short names here on WP if we can... Red Slash 00:38, 30 April 2014 (UTC)
- First this is the name of the city which represent the club, because this we need to add Desportivo to differe between the club and city. Second, the correct name of the city is Oque d'El Rei not Oque d'El Rey. --Fayçal.09 (talk) 16:05, 30 April 2014 (UTC)
- Question has anyone got any sources which show the name of the town? I tried googling for "Oque d'El Rei" -wikipedia -desportivo, but the only hits I get are for the football team. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 15:55, 8 May 2014 (UTC)
- Oquê del Rei is situated in Água Grande District. This is the link (fieldwork in são tomé and príncipe) and this is the map (the city of Oquê del Rei is the n°7). --Fayçal.09 (talk) 18:28, 8 May 2014 (UTC)
- Relisting comment: The move seems to me to be premature at least... there's no article on the town, let alone on the team's home ground to which the article has a redlink. Are either of these worthy of an article? Is the team, or its 1000 seat stadium, for that matter? The town doesn't currently appear on the List of cities and towns in São Tomé and Príncipe. At present I can't even tell from our coverage on which of the two archipelagos of São Tomé and Príncipe the town lies (the comment above indicates it's on São Tomé Island). - Oppose. I don't think we should spend any more time on this. No evidence at all has been offered that the correct name is as proposed in terms of WP:AT, and presumably the user who moved it here thought it wasn't, the log reads 23:31, 24 February 2014 Lglukgl (talk | contribs | block) . . (43 bytes) (+43) . . (Lglukgl moved page Desportivo de Oque d'El Rei to Oque d'El Rey). It might have been good to ask User:Lglukgl their reasons for this previous bold move, they are still very active in editing football articles, but there's a redirect in place, it's no big issue. On the other hand the article badly needs work in other ways, see above and below. Andrewa (talk) 02:36, 26 May 2014 (UTC)
Discussion
editPlease note that the official name of the club has little bearing on the article title, in terms of WP:AT (the policy to which many, many notices point... please don't ignore them, and do read the policy, and the essay at WP:official name should help explain how it applies to such cases).
