Merge to syllabus?

edit

I am open to the idea of merging the "syllabus" page with this page. I can also see strong arguments for keeping it separate, due to the challenges created by the time/space separation between online instructors and learners, which online course syllabi must address. I don't see anything at all in this article that relates specifically to online syllabi so I agree that it should be merged. ElKevbo (talk) 20:04, 25 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
I think this addresses a slightly different concept than the "syllabus" page. A syllabus is essentially a course outline, while an online syllabus may function as a document distribution system, calendar, message board, and so on. I support merging the content of "Esyllabus" into this article (see next section) but keeping this article distinct from "Syllabus".76.201.170.185 (talk) 07:30, 14 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

eSyllabus should stay a seperate entry for two reasons: An online course is thought online -- the eSyllabus is an intenet-based tool for a traditional course. This differentiation was established in Schneider, Andreas. 1998. "The Internet as an Extended Sociology Classroom." Social Science Computer Review 16:53-57. Second, students will be glad to find a reference to the term eSyllabus. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aschneid (talkcontribs) 15:44, 4 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Merge from Esyllabus

edit

I am proposing that Esyllabus be merged here. It is an orphaned article on the same subject matter; it has a little additional matter, but most of it is riddled with self-aggrandizing WP:COI issues. I have no opinion on the further merge of this article into syllabus as discussed above. TJRC (talk) 18:28, 10 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

I support this merge because as far as I can tell the two articles are about exactly the same topic. 76.201.170.185 (talk) 07:27, 14 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
