Two suggestions.

Can someone had a brief sentence about Olaf Koelzig's connection to Germany (I assume he was born to German parents)? Did he ever live in Germany?

Does anyone have a photograph of Olaf Koelzig that is free of copyright restrictions? Although I like the photograph in use, I suspect that it is from a copyrighted sports website.

Yes, according to the German Wikipedia he was born to German parents.129.13.186.1 09:49, 23 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Where was he raised?

edit

I have heard he was raised in Nova Scotia (which seems odd for a former WHL-er), but that his parents reside in British Columbia. Can anyone confirm? 69.156.104.51 01:56, 11 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

I know of a teacher that taught in Nova Scotia, and she says that she taught him during grade school. Antigonish I believe it was.70.51.236.74 03:34, 25 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

He was raised in the country of Denmark, Edmonton,AB, North West Territories, Toronto,ON and Halifax,NS before moving to Union Bay,BC as a teenager. I don't know about Antigonish. He played midgets for Dartmouth,NS (a suburb of Halifax in 1985-86') AFTER his parents had already moved to BC. The next year he played in the BCHL, so that is when he moved-1986'. http://crashingthegoalie.com/2009/12/14/olie-kolzig-almost-a-b-c-boy/ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.196.195.102 (talk) 19:01, 9 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Dog fighting

edit

Someone added a line that he is well known for dog fighting in South Africa. An Internet search showed no corroborating pages, and I assumed this is vandalism, so I removed it. If this statement is true, please add back with a citation. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.222.206.214 (talk) 01:56, 19 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

That is pure BS. He has never lived in, nor ever even been to South Africa since infancy as far as I know. I would delete this entire heading if I were in charge. Total BS! He is known for owning the Tri-City Americans Junior Hockey team in his free-time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.196.195.102 (talk) 19:05, 9 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
