Öchsle scale
edit1 l water at 20 °C weighs 998 g (and not 1000g) according to water. This leads to a difference of 2 °Ö. How is this discrepancy explained/Which definition of the Öchsle scale is correct? Gotox 21:37, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
Mostgewicht
editI doubt that "spezifisches Gewicht" used to be an alternative term for "Dichte". "Spezifisches Gewicht" was and is the same as "relative Dichte" (relative density), which is a ratio of two densities. Degree Öchsle are determined as a difference of two densities. The term "Mostgewicht" may have been coined in loose analogy. Gotox 21:55, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
