Appirits Inc.
editFYI Website is partly not working. At bottom it reads "Copyright ©Appirits Inc.". KR 17387349L8764 (talk) 12:49, 27 October 2023 (UTC)
- Appirits bought it in 2020, but then apparently sold it to something called "OSChina" in 2022. I have just added a reference for the transfer to Appirits, which was announced in English on the site itself. I've also added a link to a 2024 Japanese-language news article that mentions the sale to OSChina as past background, but I've found very little information so far about that sale itself, what sort of entity "OSChina" is, etc. ITmedia NEWS actually seems more interested in "SRAD" than in OSDN and mentions OSDN only in passing during its reporting of the sale and possible shutdown of SRAD. It is notable that OSChina was never mentioned on the OSDN site itself, which still says (as you say) "© Appirits." More detail is probably needed on the recent history and apparent abandonment of OSDN; I just added three refs as the best information I could find so far, but I'm still looking for more solid detail. It may be that the site should no longer be described as "Active" in the infobox, inasmuch as it is failing, getting worse, and projects are jumping ship. For instance (not yet added as a ref but maybe should be) Vim has evacuated its formerly-OSDN-hosted Web site: [1] 2607:FEA8:1280:5D00:0:0:0:663D (talk) 00:22, 7 February 2024 (UTC)
