Extensive edits

edit

I just did extensive edits, including adding many references. It would be great to expand this article with a section on visual arts, and talk more about El Museo del Barrio and other organizations such as Taller Boricua and about people like James de la Vega. The article currently has no discussion of tensions within the Nuyorican Movement, for example regarding sexism and homophobia.--Lawrlafo (talk) 05:34, 5 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

"References"

edit

This article needs work on its references.

A lot of them are just primary sources supporting only the existence of this or that group by a link to their official website. Those could be moved to the external links section. There are also some deadlinks that could be replaced by better sources.

Also, the external links section also needs improvement. I'll do some work on it all. I started by tagging the problems and formatting some references by using the appropriate cite templates.--damiens.rf 17:12, 23 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Assessed

edit

This article is close to B class status I believe, but needs some cleanup and more citations in the body of the text. The sources are there in plenty, just need to properly utilize them in citations. I may take a stab at editing this in the coming weeks (Coffeycp) 16 March 2020
