etiology of name
editthis sounds like a bunch of malarky, citation or I delete it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.116.129.55 (talk) 03:31, 13 March 2019 (UTC)
- It pans out to not be malarky but the etymology of the name is LITERALLY what I came here for, a crumb of context plz! 2601:200:4500:71B:9411:5128:F466:7C40 (talk) 01:18, 17 July 2022 (UTC)

Image not useful
editThe image from Gray's Anatomy appearing in the infobox does not show the relevant anatomy, other than the abdominal aorta. Perhaps Gray's has a more informative illustration?--Quisqualis (talk) 01:06, 26 September 2017 (UTC)
Wikiproject Medicine student edit
editI am a 4th year medical student applying to internal medicine who is enrolled in a Wikiproject course designed to enhance the quality of information of on Wikipedia. Over the next four weeks I will be editing this page to provide more up to date and succinct information of the signs and symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment of nutcracker syndrome.
Currently, the article is a start-class, mid-tier article on WikiProject Medicine. Here is a list of the sections I hope to improve:
- Etiology - different pathologies that can lead to renal vein compression
- Signs and Symptoms - The article currently goes over very general presentation
- Diagnosis - Further detail as to how diagnosis is made beyond a list of the three different modalities.
- Management/Treatment options - both conservative and surgical management
I also intend to update images on the article to be relevant and helpful for a general audience.Rvle222 (talk) 18:22, 10 January 2019 (UTC)
Peer review: You have done a good job adding to and expanding this article. The new etiology and treatment sections are very comprehensive and well formed. The expansion of the diagnosis section is helpful in learning the different roles each imaging technique plays in the diagnosis of NCS. The only criticisms I have are: 1. some paragraphs (see Conservative management or Endovascular procedures) had citations in the middle of them but then no citations for the second half of the paragraph - I was unsure if the citation applied to the whole paragraph or just part of it. 2. I don't think you wrote the intro but it seems very high level for the average reader. Otherwise your work on the page has been great.Bpbassett1 (talk) 05:30, 31 January 2019 (UTC)
