Expanding

edit

I took a look at the article. I re-rated it to B-class, made a few editorial changes, made the citations two columns, added a link to the category on Wikimadia Commons, and added the North Carolina Zoo category to all the images I could find on Commons. If you visit this zoo, or already have some pictures, I generally think that pictures of the zoo (exhibits, buildings, etc.) with people are better for a zoo article than closeups of animals which usually might as well be from anywhere. Also, unless you are trying to be consistent with something else, generally "Notes" or "Footnotes" seems to be preferred for the section that shows the citations, with "References" being for general references. That's all for now. If you want a broader audience, one way is to put it up for GA status. If you do this, be prepared to answer to a lot of comments and an expectation that someone will be working on them fairly quickly. Donlammers (talk) 20:26, 10 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hello. I've been to the zoo multiple times and have taken pictures there (such as those on the page). I'll take a look through my archives at some point to see if there are any more zoo-oriented photos in my archives. I'd also be willing to help with the page/give it a review if you want me to. Photos

edit

I'm not sure why the photo request was added (7/18/2010). I am removing it. I added the logo and entrance photo (which was already in commons) and moved the elephant photo down to the relevant portion of the body. There are other photos in commons if someone wants to place them in the article. If someone wants a specific photo, please leave a more specific request than just "photo of NC Zoo", of which we already have plenty (see the commons link). Erroneous Africa fauna listing

edit

The zoo currently has no hippos, and I can't find any evidence that the zoo has had a hippo exhibit in the past.
