Merge with North Berwick Branch
editI propose that North Berwick Branch be merged with this article. It covers, in extraordinary detail, the route from Drem to North Berwick, which is the only part of the North Berwick Line which is not part of the ECML. I can't see any particular reason why one article exists as the historical while this one exists as the present. -mattbuck (Talk) 09:00, 30 May 2020 (UTC)
- I agree. Murgatroyd49 (talk) 09:18, 30 May 2020 (UTC)
- It'd probably be easier to merge them the other way - this article is completely unsourced, and partly out of date. Black Kite (talk) 13:18, 30 May 2020 (UTC)
- I suggested this way as North Berwick Line seemed to be a more modern name than North Berwick Branch. I was assuming that the resultant article would be the same under either name. -mattbuck (Talk) 14:31, 30 May 2020 (UTC)
- I think that the North Berwick branch article is the one to keep. It is longer (despite covering a shorter section of track) and has a range of cited sources. I also feel that route articles are more useful than service articles as the train operating companies regularly change service details. The Line article says that some continue west of Edinburgh. I agree with Geof Sheppard and Black Kite. I will always go with the better sourced and referenced article GRALISTAIR (talk) 14:51, 16 July 2021 (UTC)
- Merger complete. Klbrain (talk) 17:02, 31 July 2021 (UTC)
