As one user pointed out, why is there a redirect? -142.112.236.29 (talk) 20:12, 14 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Because most people refer to China under the Nationalist regime from 1928 to 1948 when referring to "Nationalist China" (while some do use "Nationalist China" to refer to the KMT regime on Taiwan, the former seems to be more common). Furthermore, Nationalist Spain redirects to the Francoist regime in Spain, rather than a redirect for the Nationalist faction in Spain or what comprised said faction (i.e. Falangists, Carlists, etc.) -2001:569:7C0E:300:44F1:49AE:EB7D:4E58 (talk) 20:18, 14 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
However, Nationalist China was also used during the Cold War to alienate from Communist China or Red China who controlled the mainland. Free China was also largely used. This term would later gradually wane until democratization in 1991 but continues to be used sometimes. —142.112.236.29 (talk) 20:23, 14 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
Ok, after thinking this through a bit more I think it's fair to have it as a redirect, however several of the entries on the disambiguation you have created do not make sense. For example, seldom have I seen (if ever) "Nationalist China" be used to refer to the Wang Jingwei regime, nor have I seen it be used to refer to the actual KMT political party itself, let alone the Left KMT in mainland China. Since I can't find any pages referring to the pre-democratisation KMT regime on Taiwan, I am willing to accept Free Area of the Republic of China in the disambiguation list you have made, though even that is questionable considering that page refers only to the term "Free Area of the Republic of China" as the territory the ROC government currently controls. -2001:569:7C0E:300:44F1:49AE:EB7D:4E58 (talk) 20:33, 14 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
