The result of the move request was: no consensus. Default to previous stable title, National Competition. Jenks24 (talk) 14:13, 22 March 2013 (UTC)
NZRL National Competition → National Competition – Page was moved from its previous location without discussion Mattlore (talk) 05:53, 13 March 2013 (UTC)
- The name National Competition is not clear enough. There very many national competitions in many sports and games. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 06:22, 13 March 2013 (UTC)
- The page had been at National Competition since July 2011 without objection. Today it was moved to New Zealand Rugby League Competition, something which I can find no source to support. I've moved it to NZRL National Competition as a quick fix. Mattlore (talk) 06:26, 13 March 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose National competition is not specific enough. There are many national competition in many sports, there is no reason why this would be the primary one. My vote is to move to New Zealand Rugby League National Competition.--Labattblueboy (talk) 03:56, 14 March 2013 (UTC)
- Strong support per WP:BRD. "National competition" may be a vague phrase, but it already redirects here, and there's no hatnote. Indeed, any other article that even could go on a dab would be a WP:PTM. It looks like there's only National Competition Policy (Australia), National Competition Policy (India), and National Competition of Horsemen, and this title isn't a particularly likely search term for any of them. I also wonder if the opinions above don't reflect some sort of bias. Premier League and National Football League are also vague, and the latter has other competitions with the exact same name. The unilateral move this RM seeks to overturn was a very clumsy effort to force unnecessary disambiguation. --BDD (talk) 22:22, 20 March 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose. Possibly supported by policy, which just shows why we need WP:SNOW and more importantly WP:IAR. Ridiculous idea to call this article National Competition. We might as well move the Australian National Cricket Team to either Our cricketers or The Aussies, well that's what they're called in these parts. And the redir only exists because it hasn't been fixed after the undiscussed move. Andrewa (talk) 08:06, 21 March 2013 (UTC)

Dates
editIt might be helpful if the article told us the dates of this competition. What period of the year is it played? 121.73.7.84 (talk) 16:14, 27 January 2017 (UTC)

NZRL Men's National Competition → NZRL National Competition – Better page move as no need to over disambiguate at this time. Fleets (talk) 14:27, 7 December 2022 (UTC)
- Comment If there is a similar named competition for women, I would recommend keeping "Men's" in title. Djln Djln (talk) 15:15, 8 December 2022 (UTC)
- Comment - there isn't.Fleets (talk) 07:37, 9 December 2022 (UTC)
