Do we have any source to claim that he was fired at by a firing squad and they missed? Or how else should we understand the "he was almost shot by the Polish Army"? Besides, in the territory of Republic of Central Lithuania, unlike in Poland, the duties of executioners were not carried out by the Polish Army but by the Central Lithuanian Army. //Halibutt09:52, 20 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
The online sources currently used for the near-execution don't mention when in 1922 this was, or whether it was the government of Poland or the Polish-backed Central Rep. govt. (The turnover happened during 1922). They just use Polish government and don't mention Polish Army. I'll rewrite this sentence to reflect those sources.
