Breakup?
editThe 2009 tour has been canceled. This can easily be verified. I do not think an official reason has been given but a breakup seems likely. Someone edited the page stating, "The band called it quits when Groovie Mann left a show to fly to Sweden for his sex change." There is no source of this, possibly vandalism. Could someone in the know get some real info? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kevin Reems (talk • contribs) 05:25, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
Page Move
editIs anyone opposed to me separating the albums into their own pages, since most albums have their own pages anyways? Deyyaz 00:11, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
- Please go ahead. 211.31.224.92 07:58, 31 January 2006 (UTC)
- I orginally listed the albums here so they wouldn't have to have their own pages. They should probably be merged to main list. Separate album articles are a waste of space IMO. But whatever. Cyberia23 18:41, 31 January 2006 (UTC)
- Albums are supposed to have links to album pages instead of cluttering the band page. See WP:ALBUM. (or the listing of any other band.) Most of the blurb at the top should be brought into the main body of the page and albums listed should be brief with links to the album pages and not entire track listings. abfackeln 23:24, 1 April 2006 (UTC)
Thomas Thorn
editExpanded some info on the different sounds the band has gotten into, as well as linked Thomas Thorn's name to Electric Hellfire Club, which wasn't previously mentioned in the article. I felt it was important to add it, as well as point out that Thorn was in the live act only and wasn't responsible for the band's songwriting or production at all. His claims about taking all the "Satanic" elements of TKK with him when he 'left' are often taken literally by fans who perhaps don't know that Thorn was not a musician on any Thrill Kill Kult album. The credits on the albums are sometimes vague but believe me, for better or for worse (however you see it), the same people who made "Sexplosion!" and the albums after it were the same people who made everything that came before it: Buzz McCoy and Groovie Mann.
VertigoXpress 15:48, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
- There seems to be some disagreement about Thorn's role in the band on both sides. A previous user edited the article to remove the suggestion that he was not a musician on the albums, which is information that came to me personally from TKK. I altered the text as a compromise; he said he did, they said he didn't. It stands to reason that if he did play anything on the albums it was not part of the songwriting process, and I think it bears mentioning since he made the claim that he was responsible for the band's dark qualities on the early albums. I think that was meant as a joke and not to be taken seriously, despite how EHC fans may have taken it.VertigoXpress 21:37, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
Live CD
editI thought there was a live CD. I thing I heard it around 2003.
The Live CD is Elektrik Inferno. Came out in 2002 and as far as I know it was only available at Live shows. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.201.130.222 (talk) 19:49, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
- It is called Elektrik Inferno Live. I got mine at a show. TKK didn't have a merch section on their website back then, so it is quite possible it was only available there. I'll add the album info tomorrow :) Incredibly Obese Black Man (talk) 06:35, 12 September 2010 (UTC)
Discography page?
editThere are quite a lot of albums listed in this article, with full track listings. Perhaps a MLWTTKK discography page is in order to lighten the load here? - eo 12:25, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
- I just about to add this very same message to the Discussion. I am all for it. If you create the discography page, I will help fill in the album info. I have most of them and can contribute liner note information. Incredibly Obese Black Man (talk) 06:45, 12 September 2010 (UTC)
- I went ahead and started a discography page. I will fill in track listings and put them into collapsible tracklist tables or do something nice. Most importantly, we need to get references and citations on the discography page. Please help out. Thanks! Incredibly Obese Black Man (talk) 16:55, 12 September 2010 (UTC)

My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult → My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult — This page should be moved to My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult which capitalizes each word of the band name. The band has always used this capitalized spelling. It is also incorrect to use a lowercase 'w'. The only word in question would be 'the', however since the band capitalizes it, and it is used in the band name which is a proper noun, it should be capitalized. Incredibly Obese Black Man (talk) 20:11, 18 September 2010 (UTC)
- Oppose. Per WP:MOSCAPS, we use standard English capitalization. jgpTC 22:15, 19 September 2010 (UTC)
- Oppose I've looked through their website and album covers, and they don't consistently use one form of capitalization over another. These are the variations I've seen, all on albums covers:
- my life with the Thrill Kill Kult
- My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult
- My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult
- MY LIFE WITH THE THRILL KILL KULT
- You can go to Amazon.com and see the album covers there. With so much variation from the band itself, I don't see any need to favor one over another, and say we should just stick with standard English capitalization. —Torchiest talk/edits 14:58, 20 September 2010 (UTC)
You know what. Fuck you dipshits. I was going to update all of their albums. I have tons of great interviews, articles, and albums. But because you stupid hipsters that don't know anything about the band (and everything about KMFDM and Phil Collins) come in here and say, "Yeah in England we don't capitalize the word 'with'", and for TinyTorchy to be like "Actually sir, they spell it every which way!" You idiots are the reason why Wikipedia is so inconsistent. Fuck all yall. Where da gold at? I'm seriously done with Wikipedia. It is just a bunch of 40-50 year old losers with nothing else to do, posting information they BELIEVE to be accurate. Fuck all yall. Way to take a giant shit on a band that deserves the up/ut most respect. The users of this website make it FAIL HARD. Peace. I'm out. Incredibly Obese Black Man (talk)
