Grenane
editI assume from the mention that Grenane became Greenan and then Montgreenan, though this is not explained. I have a note that William Douglas, 1st of Glenbervie, was in 1493 and 1509 in possession of charters of the lands of Grenane, in Ayrshire. I do not have a source. However, I wonder if this is a mistake and Montgreenan was never Grenane, that being Greenan, some 20 miles further south?Shipsview (talk) 13:31, 2 January 2022 (UTC)
