editLead
edit- short description, better be "Sudanese visual artist (born 1936)"
- you can add his Arabic name "محمد عمر خليل", I linked the Arabic page now to this article at Wikidata. use the template Langx
- his date of birth can be expanded to the 8 January 1936 from this source
- consider adding an infobox and add Khalil website
- " ... a Sudanese-born artist", the link is to "Sundanese" (Indonesia) change it to "Sudanese".
- link "School of Fine and Applied Arts" to College of Fine and Applied Art (Khartoum), and the category Category:College of Fine and Applied Art (Khartoum) alumni.
- "He continued his studies in mosaics at the Academy of Fine Arts.", he attended two Academies of fine arts so better rephrase for clarity.
- " .. , especially in North American and Europe." change it to ", especially in North America"

Biography
edit- "in 1936 in the Burri Almahas neighborhood", remove the "the" before the name of the place. It is more like saying "the Manhattan"
- link Khartoum's School of Fine and Applied Arts to College of Fine and Applied Art (Khartoum)
- link "Sudanese Ministry of Education" to Ministry of Education (Sudan)
- Khartoum Technical Institute in Sudan is today known as the Sudan University of Science and Technology
- " .. his time spent in Italy and New York City has greatly influenced his works", change to "have greatly influenced"
- link "The New School", "Tacoma Art Museum"
- " .. School in 1981, New York City's Limited Art Editions in 1984" change to "in 1981, and New York City's"
- " .. Osaka, where he won bronze prize" change to "the or a bronze prize"
- you can add he also won the Nile Award for Arab Innovators in 2019, according to this source (in Arabic).

Selected works
edit- It would be better to put the art work at the 1960s to 1980s section to show an example of his work at that period.
- add the template "Authority control" at the end to retrieve information from Wikidata.

Verification and spot checks
edit- ref 1 verified
- ref 2 verified
- ref 3 looks like a self written CV (WP:PRIMARY verging on being WP:BLPSPS). In this instance it may be acceptable but can you tell me why you think it should be considered with emphasis on reliability? FuzzyMagma (talk) 21:00, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
- I see your concern, but in this case, the source provides valuable info not found elsewhere and it's nothing that is controversial. APK hi :-) (talk) 04:44, 7 December 2024 (UTC)
- source 4 does not support this sentence “During the rest of the decade, Khalil's work was shown in Israel, Iraq, the United Kingdom, and Norway.”FuzzyMagma (talk) 07:52, 7 December 2024 (UTC)
- Fixed, not sure how I screwed that one up. APK hi :-) (talk) 08:04, 7 December 2024 (UTC)
- ref 9 verified
- ref 10 verified
