This should not redirect to mobile phone, it should be it's open article. Mathiastck 18:32, 28 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

I agree. However, I believe the page that should be expanded should be "Mobile telecommunications", and the "mobile telephony" page should redirect to a subsection of mobile telecommunications. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mojodaddy (talkcontribs) 03:23, 10 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
Hi guys, I just made this page a split from Mobile phone. I agree that there should be an article on Mobile telecommunications, but it is a different topic, so lets not move this entire page there but instead build a new aritcle, because Mobile telephony has already about 50 incomming wikilinks from other articles. Of course, portions of text relevant to mobile telecommunications can be moved over.--Kozuch (talk) 10:20, 10 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

There's duplication with material in "History of mobile phones" and there's a case for merging this with "Mobile telephony". I can see the point of keeping stuff about handsets separate - there's a lot of stuff on that alone - but history of the technology and explanations of that technology could probably go together until and unless it gets too unwieldy. Seems like no-one has had anything to say about this for a couple of years so perhaps that's enough evidence that there's few(if any) strong views. If no-one objects meantime, next occasion I have the time, I'll see what I can do and await reactions.Tanconsult (talk) 15:05, 8 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

"One disadvantage of the receiving party pays systems is that phone owners keep their phones turned off to avoid receiving unwanted calls" That needs cited. I don't know of anyone in the US who keeps their phone off to avoid unwanted calls. Sounds POV to me. Matt 208.48.249.134 (talk) 08:51, 20 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Percentages higher than 100%

edit

Hi. Is it correct to use penetration rates higher than 100%? Is that the established, accepeted terminology? Should the correct form not be to refer to "x number of sets per person", i.e "1,3 sets per person"? Regards, Rui ''Gabriel'' Correia (talk) 10:27, 16 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
