Definition Added
editTo make for a more worldwide understanding of the subject I have added a dictionary definition before refrence to US law --Gonzophotojournalism (talk) 21:15, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
Who cares about "Hackers"?
editWhen I typed in "Mischief" into wikipedia, I did not expect to come to a page filled with Internet Culture. Really I feel that its completely Irrelivent92.2.162.14 (talk) 17:34, 1 December 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, what the hell? I came here while researching the legal nuances of graffiti. The "hacker" stuff is neither relevant nor backed up with citations aside from a very specious reference to a uslegal.com entry on "terrorism."
uslegal.com is not a primary source for Constitutional or case law. It's a reference for laymen that presents plain language summaries of legal concepts. Citing uslegal.com is like citing a Huffington Post article that does nothing but churn up reporting from legitimate news sources -- something that every "hacker" I know would spit on with vehemence.
I'm going to delete the whole "hacker" thing. It's useless and indeed irrelevant.

Merged "Malicious mischief" with this article
editThis article needed help, and no discussion was going on. So I merged it. Thimbleguy (talk) (contribs) 16:42, 7 November 2013 (UTC)
Same as Property Damage?
editShould this article be merged with property damage? — Preceding unsigned comment added by StePAhi (talk • contribs) 19:28, 19 January 2015 (UTC)
Criminal vs. Non-criminal
editSome forms of mischief are non-criminal (but still definitely mischievious), such as April Fools' Day pranks. This article is labelled as one would expect for such mischief in general, but is primarily about the criminal variety, which would be better suited in e.g. Criminal mischief or Mischief (offense) or somesuch. --Hppavilion1 (talk) 02:07, 20 December 2016 (UTC), trying to keep a straight face.
