I strongly believe that this should be a link to Mikoyan-Gurevich, or that article should be moved here. It's pretty easy to figure out that nearly all references to the name are concerning the design bureau or its products. We can have this page be Mikoyan (disambiguation). —Joseph/N328KF (Talk) 03:29, 2005 Jan 8 (UTC)
MiG aircraft bureau
editIf the piping of Mikoyan-Gurevich causes confusion, then that is a problem with the article title, not the piping. Piping is confusing becasue it tricks a reader in to going to an article they did not click on. I think it's better not to use piping on a disambiguation page and to sort out any confusion here instead. --Commander Keane 01:02, September 13, 2005 (UTC)
- That's fine. I see this as a special case, though. The "Mikoyan-Gurevich" article really should be entitled "Mikoyan," but I am not an administrator and thus cannot make that move. Were I able to, I wouldn't have any qualms with your change.
- Maybe start a discussion at Mikoyan-Gurevich about moving the page, and then put in a Wikipedia:Reqested move. I have no idea about the appropriate name --Commander Keane 02:29, September 13, 2005 (UTC)
