Microsoft Flight Simulator 1.0 → Microsoft Flight Simulator (1982 video game) – "Microsoft Flight Simulator 1.0" is unofficial. The game was never referred to as that name. Æ's old account wasn't working (talk) 14:48, 29 September 2024 (UTC)

- Weak oppose, because the current title/retronym still seems to be the common name. See also Superman 64. O.N.R. (talk) 12:10, 30 September 2024 (UTC)
- I am worried that the use of "Flight Simulator 1.0" by modern game journalists may be WP:CITOGENESIS. Is there evidence it was called that before very recently? ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 12:36, 30 September 2024 (UTC)
- Old Naval Rooftops, if this were true, then the article for the original PlayStation would be called 'PlayStation 1'. But it isn't. Æ's old account wasn't working (talk) 00:08, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
- So because not everything uses a retronym, nothing can use a retronym? O.N.R. (talk) 12:24, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
- Note that articles with retronyms are never the first in the series (As for your example, the retronym Superman 64 was chosen because it was not the first Superman video game) Æ's old account wasn't working (talk) 13:32, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
- Only articles whose subject denotes the first in its series are normally allowed to use retronyms in the title, and that is only if the retronym is the more common name Æ's old account wasn't working (talk) 13:33, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
