MickieJames.com is her official website, for all intents and purposes. Please leave it where it was. Thank you.

Nude Modeling

I don't know if it's true or not, but does anyone have any info on how Mickie James was a nude model prior to joining WWE? The reason I ask is because a friend of mine sent me a link that has a bunch of nude pics of her. OutRider2003 12:43, 14 March 2006 (UTC)

As I keep adding, but for some reason, people keep removing: In late 1999 or early 2000, Mickie posed nude for photographer R.B. Kane. One set of these photos was featured in the May 2000 issue of Leg Show magazine and the others were featured on RB's website. --CJ 08:00, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

yes she did pose nude. I have seen the pics it was for R.B. Cane but i am not sure what magizene they were in.--JayDub 23:24, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

That was not Mickie James, it was a woman that looked like her, most likely Tabatha Stern, who has modelled for R.B. Kane. I don't know why her page still says she posed for the magazine when she didn't. 68.40.129.226 04:16, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

Dude, now some people like to think that she is a "good girl" and wouldnt do something like that, but the truth stands she did pose nude. Sorry to say but as much as you dont want to believe it User:68.40.129.226. and there is two different sets in which she poses.--Deathtopplintheir40s 11:59, 29 September 2007 (UTC)

Proof she posed nude

Since some people with nothing better to do, keep deleting the info about Mickie posing nude for Leg World, proof is located here: [1] --CJ 07:51, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

Since others have disputed my previous proof (on an anonymous user's page of all places...), here is additional proof Mickie posed nude: click on the first thumbnail of the second row here [2] --CJ 08:47, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

Amen! I love Mickie!!! Nice pics. Thanks Emilos 17:41, 12 December 2006 (UTC)emilos

Whether it's really Mickie in those pictures or not is besides the point. The source used to verify the statement isn't reliable for a few reasons. Mainly, the pictures are a primary source of information, and require the editor/reader to interpret it and draw conclusions. There are too many questions that are left unanswered by the pictures, one of which has been illustrated on this talk page. Are the pictures real (not photoshopped)? Is it really her in the photos? Did she actually pose for those photos with the intent they be published in a magazine? Were these photos really featured in the May 2000 issue of Leg Show?

The editor/reader shouldn't have to draw their own conclusions from a source. Just handing someone a set of pictures and saying "you figure it out" won't cut it. The photos are a primary source of information which are used to support statements which can easily be qualified as original research. Due to the nature of the primary source, there needs to be a secondary source to interpret the photos and draw the conclusions. You can see WP:NOR for more. Either way, the pictures don't cut it as a source. Find a secondary source explaining the pictures instead. Ibm2431 07:01, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

For the record, I completely disagree with your rationale, but I'm not going to change it back again-- atleast not right away. It seems that a certain percentage of Mickie fans for whatever reason, have a hard time dealing with her past as a nude model, that's all I'll say for now. --CJ 09:52, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

To be honest, I'm not really a wrestling fan. I just stumbled across this page.. some way or another. We all know how it goes. XD Anyway, it's not that I have a hard time dealing with it, I'm just trying to impliment what I feel is the correct interpretation of WP:NOR. I left my rationale here so that we could all discuss and talk about it - what talk pages are for. ^^
However, if you're adamant on including it, I won't stop you. Just be prepared to back up your reasoning when another editor comes along and questions it. Cheers. Ibm2431 02:56, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

It is most likely Mickie because Jerry Lawler has made subtle references to these pictures on RAW. HorseApples 06:10, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

I'll just throw this out.... is it really necessary to have a link to an article with nude photos? Mshake3 03:30, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

I think it is wrong and I think we should update the privacy policy or something. Govvy 11:09, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

I thought we were over this already, I already said nobody is sure that the girl who is posing nude is Mickey James, and there was no proof that its really her, I kept editing the article and somebody puts it back, and for some reason I was blocked from editing this page. Even if it was mickie james there are some information that is non of our business, if she wants to keep it private then let her keep it private, and i am gonna say it again we shouldn't have a link that shows nude photos since many younger kids might view this page. So can anybody erase the part where it says she posed nude and erase the link that shows nude photos. User:65.190.215.92

I agree, that we shouldn't have the photo's I want them to stop adding a link to them as well. Govvy 21:27, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

Wikipedia does not respect the privacy of others unless it is deemed illegal to not do so. If she didn't want people to know that she posed nude, then she shouldn't have posed nude. Porn is a secret that no one can keep. Anyway, I am still against linking to the pictures just because it isn't a reliable source, and they are scans of the magazine, so it is in violation of copyright laws as Govvy pointed out on the talk page for WP:PW. -- The Hybrid 17:03, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

Celtic jobber what do you want me to discuss about you say you are right regardless of my reason so until she says it or the photographer says its her then you have zero proof. —Preceding unsigned comment added by TheEdge85 (talkcontribs)

TheEdge, in the magazine it clearly says it is her, we have reviewed the magazine and come to the conclusion that this is Mickie James. However, we don't link to those photo's because they are a breach of that Magazines copyright. There is no harm in quoting the mag know. Govvy 23:13, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

Well Govvy im still not happy we have to say she posed nude but thank you for takeing that link off though i still hate we have to mention it

It is more than just a little bit notable that she posed nude. -- The Hybrid 03:27, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

Must we continue to put the photogrspher's name when there is no link about him and why is there a direct link to leg show magazine.Neither of these two things are nessicary

The photographer isn't necessary, I agree, but the magazine is linked to as a source. Leave it, -- The Hybrid 01:14, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

Why do we constantly need to post the pictures on the discussion section The whole point was to say she posed nude but not post the pictures. The discussion section is just as accesable and are a breach of copyright as well i think the links need to not appear on the discussion section either

Who ever posted the comment above needs to sign it. Also, for evidence it's okay to quote it in this section. I just don't like the massive removal of other peoples talk from IPs. Govvy 21:11, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

There is still no proof that she posed nude it wasn't official that the girl on these pictures is mickie james i don't care how much people argue about it nobody is 100% sure 18:02, 6 February 2007) Killeronly

We have investigated enough to know it is her and to me it's pretty clear proof! Govvy 19:32, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

I believe that no one knows if it is her or not. I watch the WWE and the pictures dont resemble her entirely. 10:22, 30 March 2007 gameplaya

That is original research. The magazine says that it was her, so it was her. If it wasn't, then she would be allowed to sue them. -- The Hybrid 02:37, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

I disagree because, as someone said before, WWE wouldn't have hired her if she posed nude. I also agree with another person who said before that whoever put the thumbnail there, they didn't make a good call because, little kids can easily be exposed to the pictures. 6:34, March 31 2007 gameplaya

Wikipedia is not censored for children. Now, we don't know the WWE's hiring policies. Defending your POV with OR will not win you the argument. The magazine says that it was her. If they had lied, then she could sue them. -- The Hybrid 22:45, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

OK. I now agree that it is Mickie James. gameplaya 7:23 31 March 2007

The Hybrid, what magizine said that the girl in the pictures is in fact Mickie James? 10:48 31 March 2007

Legshow, the one that she posed in. -- The Hybrid 02:51, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

We do know the WWE's policy, in fact, this isn't hold against a woman for posing nude before joining the WWE. For instance, Candice Michelle before signing to the WWE had on her CV she posed nude for Playboy. They even incorporated it into her theme. Govvy 14:31, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

Ditto with Ashley Massaro , she posed for Playboy under a different name in her past and was still hired by WWE. Posted by IP:208.120.1.249

Yes she posed nude for the 2000 legshow. That's her it even talks about her loving professional wrestling. Ask her on her myspace page and she will tell you. And Alexis Laree is her real name.→ Posted by The Icon Sean Foreman, 00:54, 19 April 2007

Candice Michelle actually posed for bondage Pictures (I have them) and and everyone knows Vince actually likes that stuff because it enhances the T&A of the Diva. This is why the WWE promotes the heck out of the girls when the pose for Playboy. I say we meet half way and post that it is "believed by many" that she posed for nudes, but that this can't be fully verified. Fully acurate and with in the spirt of Wiki.--Deepintexas 02:27, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

If it can't be fully verified, then it fails WP:V, a core policy, and cannot be included in the article. Bmg916Speak 02:53, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

Unfortunately it seems to have gone unnoticed that the false statement about her posing nude for Leg Show magaazine was added and hasn't yet been removed, somebody please do so. It was established on her official site over a year ago that it wasn't her. [3] It may be Tabatha Stern, a R.B. Kane model who looks like Mickie and her lookalike in that magazine, but that is not confirmed. 68.40.129.226 08:49, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

Mick and Chick Kick

Why is the Mick Kick and the Chick Kick both on Mickie's move list? They're the same move. I'm removing the Chick Kick. --Killswitch Engage 04:50, 19 March 2006 (UTC)Killswitch Engage

It's because she copied from Trish, who named her move the Chick Kick, and Mickie copied her and named

it the Mick Kick. She also copied Trish's Stratusfaction, though I don't know what she changed it to.

TNA miniskirt comment

I've removed the comment that says she wore miniskirts in all her matches because

A. what's the point? B. It's not true. In her mixed tag with Red she wore pants

WrestleMania 22

There's little mention about the real interesting story of 22 (as I saw it); that of the 'unusual' fan reaction towards James (mirrored in the main event when former favourite Cena was booed). As the article currently establishes, storylines had set James up to be a heel, with a collection of violent attacks, psychotic outbreaks and general stalker-esque tendancies towards fan-favourite Trish Stratus. They also teemed her up with the heels, Victoria and Michelle against the 'good girls.' But during the Mania match, the fans almost unanimously sided behind James, much to the evident surprise of ringside commentators. I've heard it suggested that this was a reaction to an introduction of any interesting character (and talented wrestler) into the women's area which has recently rolled along on little more than Wilson and Michelle's silicone, but whatever the reasons, I feel it deserves mention, especially since it seemed to be completely unanticipated by the WWE creative team. - Hayter 08:36, 5 May 2006 (UTC)

Sometimes fans just turn on a wrestler in a town. There's really no reason as to why. If this was more of a trend against Trish, then I would be inclined to probably go more into detail. OsFan 14:14, 9 May 2006 (UTC)

I completely agree! (Fr3nZi3 18:11, 24 June 2006 (UTC))

I think the fans were just tired of Trish being champ and they wanted a new one

I think everyone saw how much better of a wrestler she was. Plus you gotta realize she became one of the most intriguing wrestlers in recent memory, men's or women's. It was a great storyline and even though I thought she was one of the best heels, I couldn't stop applauding her.

The sentiment Trish received was due to two things: 1. she held the belt for too long and hardly defended it and 2. Mickie's character was more of a tweener. She did alot of "messed up" stuff, but she was most certainly playing to the crowd. So there was a mix of sentiments in the crowd. Her character at the time, despite a little "psychotic" was one of the more popular characters at the time.

"Mickie-D-T"

Can someone please provide some proof that indeed Mickie's Spinning DDT is called the Mickie-DT! Otherwise I don't think it belongs on here. I am going to put up a citation notice--please don't delete it without adding a citation! --Fr3nZi3 15:25, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

Jim Ross has referred to her move many times over as the Mickie-DT, even though her WWE.com bio does not list the move. --Steveweiser 20:40, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

All fair and good! PROVE IT!!!! You can't just say that Jim Ross calls it that you have to show proof like what I did with Lita. --Fr3nZi3 15:13, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

WikiProject: Louisville???

Why? Mickie James is from Richmond, Virginia...that's been very well documented. Someone please change that, please? If anything, she should be part of "Wikiproject: Richmond". ThePacMan 17:19, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

As a matter of decorum, only project members should be adding or removing their respective project tag. This should have been brought up in WPLouisville project talk before removal. Nevertheless, upon review, this removal appears to be acceptable. Stevie is the man! TalkWork 15:50, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

Well WWE.com, under finishers for the Fantasy Mode, calls it a Modified DDT so maybe it should just be called that since the WWE recognizes it that way.

Mickie-DT II

She has another DDT that they call the Mickie-DT.It's like a jumping DDT,but she lifts up herself almost vertical instead of horizontal. Can somebody add it to her page?

Melina did say that and Melina and Mickie do share a mutual dislike of one another in real life. Well according to my knowledge. --Fr3nZi3 08:32, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

Nudity Issues

can someone please erase the information on her posing nude for Leg Show magazine? :( its disgusting

Wikipedia is not censored, not even for pornography or profanity. That's official policy. Valley2city 04:13, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

We have censored it down as much as we can with-in WP guidelines. Govvy 10:27, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

The link is unneeded. It doesn't link to pictures...it links to legshow.com. What does that prove? The info should simple state that she posed nude for Leg Show magazine. That way, if someone wants to go find the pictures they can. It's not about censoring; the issue is relevancy. Thoughts? Nikki311 01:38, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

Signature moves

I am against putting down generic moves down on the page as signature moves--like "flying forearm"--that is a universal wrestling move, which is equivalent of putting say: "hammerlock" as a signature move. Also universal roll ups, and counters shouldn't really be listed either. If Mickie uses a one handed cartwheel into a monkey flip--write monkey flip, because one handed cartwheels are generic reversals that everyone uses. --Fr3nZi3 19:10, 27 March 2007 (UTC)

Hogan's "signature move" is a leg drop. JBL's was a Clothesline. If it's something that's consistently used by them, it doesn't matter if it's a generic wresting move that everyone uses. Abalu 04:40, 15 June 2007 (UTC)Abalu

Overzealous DDT

That can't be the name of her DT! It's called The "Mickie-DT", Joey Styles even said that was her finisher's name in The Cheerleader Match. Im changing it.

THANKS, SOMEBODY FOR GETTING THE IMFORMATION THAT IS WAS A MICKIE-DT, I KEPT CHANGING TO THAT, BUT THEY CHANGED IT BACK.

Just because he said it once doesnt change what its called all the time. its called the impailer ddt or implant ddt, via her wwe.com OFFICAL profile. Myselfimmortal 21:32, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

Signature Moves

Why Isn't the Stratusfaction listed as one of her finishing (or at least signature) moves? She used it for a long time while Trish was still wrestling. dR 11:04, 15 May 2007 (UTC)

I Bet cuz Mickie only used to Mock Trish, not as an actual finisher. Well, actually i take that back cuz she used it while she was "obsessed" with Stratus, so i guess the move was revolving around Stratus cuz she hasnt used it in front of anyone else (someone plz prove me wrong if im incorrect)

Mickie James' theme error.

I don't know who put that in that Mickie used Trish Stratus' theme until New Year Revolution 2006 because that is COMPLETELY wrong. Mickie used her theme up to TABOO TUESDAY 2005, when they finally gave Mickie her own theme music. It changed to "Obsession" (her latest theme) at New Year Revolution 2006. Get the facts right now.

Oummm... sowwy, lol, that was me.... but someone edited by saying "exclusive", lol, i still remember hearing it the day after New Years Revolution... anywayz, i found out Mickie used "Im Just a Girl" by Gwen Stefani in her OVW Days. FCW?

It has come to my attention that Mickie James wrestled in Florida Championship Wrestling under the name Alexis Larree. The spelling of the last name is different, but she is listed on their site as a former Champion, and is currently their #1 rated wrestler. It's Laree not Larree and she was never in FCW, FCW was just started after DSW ended so no I deny that Mickie James has ever been in FCW especially as Alexis Larree.

Bull-honkin' shit. The picture you tried to add to the page (Image:Mickie_James_Milan_Fashion_Show_2007.jpg) is a blatant theft from the WWE page. Same for the image (Image:Melina Milan 2007.jpg) you attempted to add to the page for Melina Perez. And I suspect if I were to look around the WWE site further, the third image you uploaded today (Image:Mickie James as Champion.jpg) will be found to be a copyvio as well. Yes cause that is my sole purpose in life...to blatantly break the oh so clear rules. I wouldn't have done it had I known. But then again...I don't care what you think. I tried to make the page better, though I would not have done it had I known they were from wwe.com. Not to mention that after it was brought to my attention that the first Mickie pic was an infringement, I didn't put up the second one on the page till one of you spent your time looking for it. How do I make sure they aren't already copyrighted ...idk but clearly I shouldn't be taking that chance...my friend goes to a lot of shows and house shows and I trusted those, but I just wont ever upload any pics again...I should be safe from that sort of thing that way...Wisco'11 18:50, 22 July 2007 (UTC)

To sum up her tag team activities with Candice, we should list that Mickie has teamed with Candice over the past amount of weeks until the Monday Night RAW before summerslam, in which William Regal, announced a Divas Battle Royal to establish the number one contender for the Womens Champion. (Something like that...) ChristoCracker 06:48, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

No we should add the match the week before Summerslam to because that's when she kinda turned on Candice. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.150.61.141 (talk) 20:43, August 27, 2007 (UTC)

The picture of Mickie James has a fan in the background that seems "exited" or stunned, isn't there another picture that you could use just to save him some embarassment? Also i'm not that kid! Halo legend 00 05:29, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

WEW

I think a brief mention should be made of her work in Women's Extreme Wrestling in her early career. If MCW and KYDA Pro get mentions, WEW deserves one as well. She worked several shows for them and I believe they pre-date her TNA work when it comes to her first PPV appearance (WEW formed in Feb 2002 and pre-taped their PPVs. TNA started with live PPVs in May 2002, so I'm not sure which aired first). I'd do this myself, but it would be unsourced and someone would probably delete it before it was verified. --Jimmy Wang Yu: Version 2 (talk) 09:17, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

Goodnight Kiss

This article mentions one of Mickie's signature moves as "Goodnight Kiss",but it was called "Long-Kiss Goodnight" on WWE by Jim Ross. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.11.131.108 (talk) 23:10, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

Pre-GA Review comments

I think the article is great, but I wanted to mention a couple of concerns:

  • The first sentence of the Ohio Valley Wrestling section is awkward. It implies that the match with Dawn Marie lasted two years, which is obviously not the case. Could it be changed to "as well as wrestling in a tryout match..." or "After two years of..., she was given a tryout match..."? I don't want to make the change myself, because the tryout match may have been in the middle of the two years.
  • The second sentence of the 2005-2006 section seems too long and complicated. Could it be split into two?
  • The pronoun "she" in the second-last sentence of the second paragraph of 2005-2006 is unclear. In "the fans frequently cheered her and booed Stratus whenever she hit an offensive maneuver", does "she" refer to James or Stratus?
  • The final sentence says that she has a tattoo on her ankle. Is it known what this depicts? If so, it seems like it should be included. If not, don't worry about it. It doesn't need to be removed or anything.
    • Ok I've been looking for this and all I can find is an interview that Mikie did with Kat Von D of LA Ink on wwe.com. She says she has a tattoo on her ankle but never actually says what the tattoo is. I've also looked at dozens of pictures and her ankle is always covered up with wrestling boots or socks or pants. So unless someone else can find something, I say we remove the statement all together ..it really doesn't add anything to the article in its present form. --Naha|(talk) 02:29, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

Aside from that, I can't find any problems with it. It looks like you've done a good job taking it out-of-universe. Good work. GaryColemanFan 15:38, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

Modeling career.

I was just wondering what happened to her work out side of wrestling? I know she has done some modeling and she posed nude for a low class mag, also was she not in one of Timberland's videos or not? What happened to this info, do you not feel some of it deserves inclusion on James biography? Govvy 10:46, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

Her posing nude is included, and she was not in Timbalands video, only a few of the Divas were and it asnt her. --Metal to the Max! 00:57, 16 November 2007 (UTC)

Posing Nude

Does the magazine listed as a source actually say that it is Mickie James by name that was in the photos? Her official website denies that she posed for those pictures. As is, the citation seems rather dubious and the material doesn't seem all that relevant to the article.Cwc2311 (talk) 20:17, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

As far as I know, she does not have an official website. - Deep Shadow 20:58, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
The site someone had mentioned in the archives appears to be down now. Regardless, does the magazine actually mention her full name? If not, the citation lacks verifiability.Cwc2311 (talk) 22:46, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
The Legshow article calls her "Micki", and its a wrestling-oriented photoshoot (the full title of this article is: "Micki Meets and Defeats Or, Grappling for Panties). There is very little doubt that its her. And, as Deep Shadow mentioned, Mickie James doesn't seem to have an official website. --Celtic Jobber (talk) 05:31, 24 November 2007 (UTC)::

It's been acknowledged since this discussion that the woman in that spread is in fact Mickie James. She was one of the top Yahoo searches last week under "Alexis Laree" because of said photo spread. I think it ought to be mentioned in the article.76.199.13.35 (talk) 20:34, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

Height?

There is some dispute over Mickie's height. Both her and Trish Stratus are listed as 5'4". When her and Trish appeared next to one another, Trish is definitely taller. I can backup that Trish is in fact 5'4" because I have seen her in person. However, I have never seen Mickie in person. Mickie appears to be even smaller, probably about 5'2". Anyone got any incite on this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 146.201.182.142 (talk) 18:28, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

There is no dispute. They are both billed as 5 ft 4 in. There is a difference between billed height and real height. - Deep Shadow 03:04, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

GA review

I am passing this article because I feel that it is at the same level as other wrestler bios. One small thing, per the MoS, you don't actually need citations in the lead if the statement is sourced elsewhere in the article. There are quite a few in the lead, so perhaps some of them could be trimmed? -- Scorpion0422 17:54, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

Really? Other reviewers have wanted citations in the lead, saying that information should be cited the first time it is mentioned. Nikki311 03:18, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
Nope, WP:LEAD says that citations aren't needed in the lead if it's sourced elsewhere. However, if there is a quotation or a potentially controversial statement, there should be a source. In fact, I've seen FACs opposed solely because of citations in the lead. -- Scorpion0422 03:27, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

Would it be safe to say Mickie is now feuding with Beth over the women's title? Or is this more of a filler until Candice comes back and not worth mentioning until it's over or Mickie defeats Beth for the title?

Not sure. Either way, so far, the feud has not really gone anywhere...Gavyn Sykes (talk) 00:35, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

Age?

In a recent interview with St. Louis, MO radio show ITD Morning After, she has stated she is in fact 23 and not 29 as is currently reflected on her Wiki. Listen to the interview here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I35tG3oEq0Q. Its in the first 30 seconds.

Lareview (talk) 21:03, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

Age is a tricky issue. Wrestlers, especially the females, often lie about their ages to seem more appealing. If she was currently 23, then in 2000 when she posed nude in a magazine, she would have been 15, which is highly illegal. I'm thinking she is indeed 29. Nikki311 23:07, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

I listened and the interviewer said "you're 23 years old, if I'm not mistaken" then she said "Absolutely" and it seemed to be in a joking/sarcastic manner, so I don't think that's her real age. However in the same interview, she basically confirmed her nude modelling. --Celtic Jobber (talk) 23:34, 15 September 2008 (UTC)

If she was indeed 23 years old at the time of that interview, then that would be she was around 13 or 14 years old when she debuted in wrestling. Highly unlikely. 74.131.179.238 (talk) 03:45, 16 March 2009 (UTC)

Third Title Reign

James' third title reign came about as a result of mistake during the Triple Threat match when Victoria failed to kick out of the pin in time, hence the immediate rematch. Is that worth adding to the article? It's referred to in Power Slam magazine, issue 172. James Casey (talk) 17:06, 16 November 2008 (UTC)

"Booked to win"

Are phrases like this really necessary? The Spiderman page doesn't say "he was booked to be bitten by a spider". Or that "Spiderman was booked to beat the villian". The Superman page doesn't say "Superman was scripted to bring Lex Luthor to jail". Why is wrestling singled out for this type of treatment? Are they implying wrestling viewers are too stupid to realize it isn't real? Philname1 (talk) 19:12, 22 November 2008 (UTC)

Please read WP:IN-U, as to why it needs to be 100% clear that wrestling is scripted. The reason that wrestling articles must be written this way, while movie articles do not, is that although it seems like commonsense, a lot of people really do still believe that it is real. This is evidenced by the edits during the whole Vince McMahon's limo blew up and he died on TV debacle. Nikki311 19:41, 22 November 2008 (UTC)

Yah I used to think it was real, but I used to think Harry Potter was real too, so it should say, Harry Potter was booked to kill Voldemort because if not people could jump out windows with broomsticks and kill themselves. The Master Of All Wolves (talk) 10:25, 13 December 2008 (UTC)

Also its NOT nesscisary to be 100% clear because everyone knows its scripted so we don't need to beat it in the head with "booked to win" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.93.167.109 (talk) 03:29, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
