Kind of Absurd to Label Her a "Conservative" When She is Clearly an Obama Supporter
editMichelle Bernard has even been making silly statements on MSNBC to the effect that Obama is "trans-partisan." Sure, that's why Obama, a Chicago politician and a Democrat, voted the straight party line 96 percent of the time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.44.153.18 (talk) 23:16, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
Heritage
editWhat is her background?
Blogs assert that she is West Indian. Some of these blogs claim that her parents are Jamaican; one person posting on a blog claims that her parents are from Haiti. Dogru144 (talk) 15:36, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
- I found an article that confirmed the former interpretation of her heritage. Bill Steigerwald, Michelle Bernard Looks for the Right McCain" [1] in Anderson Free Press, in August 29, 2008. Dogru144 (talk) 15:47, 19 October 2008 (UTC)

COI/Connected contributor
editContributor Rocksmith14 appears to possibly have some sort of close or professional relationship with the subject of this article. Rocksmith14 has changed their user name from "Berncenter" as seen in this request for name change; there was also a previous request to change the name from "Berncenter" to "bc_intsupport" which was denied. -- dsprc [talk] 13:48, 14 July 2014 (UTC)
Seeing as how Rocksmith14 (talk · contribs) has a connection to the subject of the article, their removal of sourced biographical information about the subject's spouse seems unusual and dubious. I am inclined toward its inclusion as it is not only widely known and referenced but, they both appear to be public figures. It also looks bad when the very sources reference previous attempts at whitewashing the information from this very article and another is Bernard's own Women's Forum; which I would assume would be an authoritative source for such information. There is a WP:Conflict of Interest either way so I believe these contributions need additional explanation and scrutiny.
@Rocksmith14, what is the Policy rationale for removal of this content? -- dsprc [talk] 16:34, 14 July 2014 (UTC)
- Rocksmith14, I once again invite you to discuss this on the talk page instead of in the edit summery. You state that: "External link contains erroneous information"; erroneous how? What information specifically is at issue here? You again claim: "Reference contains offensive language..."; The subject of the article used the language in question, the reporter was simply parroting that. Please note that Wikipedia is not censored. Further claims of "Removing personal information from biography over privacy concerns" this is not private information; it was published by Bernard's own IWF, on Gawker, it is listed on the IMDB and again in the wOw interview posted on IWF Website stated by Bernard herself
and even Politico. What specifically are your concerns? Please elaborate and expand upon the edit summaries so that we may find some middle ground here. -- dsprc [talk] 18:51, 14 July 2014 (UTC)
