Reversion
editI reverted the article to something like the way it was before "Miami Seaquarium" made changes. I have now also restarted the discussion page, which was previously a copy of the article as left by "Miami Seaquarium". Looks like that user was created solely for the purpose of turning this article into an ad...oh well. 216.175.113.135 08:57, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

One of the biggest?
editI've moved the unsourced claim "It is one of the biggest arquariums in the world" back here. That sort of claim needs a specific reliable source. -- Donald Albury 11:35, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
POV and Cite tags
editI added the tags to the criticism section (which I separated from the main body of the article), because they are totally uncited and blatantly fail WP:NPOV. Weasel words like "in the opinion of many critics..." are not encyclopedic; who are the critics, and what are their qualifications? "Hugo committed suicide?" Did he leave a note? It appears that someone is using the "Miami Seaprison" site as support for their claims, but the site contains no information about its operators/contributors, and there are no claims to their qualifications. It appears to be little more than a POV-pushing site with little factual content and a lot of sensationalized claims. These claims need reliable sources, not speculation. - I have added several more tags to the article since it was edited, which did much to enumerate the problems with the Whale enclosure. However, there are still no references. Without references, the whole criticism section is nothing more than a series of unfounded allegations, and are subject to deletion at any time. I'm going to wait for a while before I delete them, but without valid cites, they will be removed. Horologium t-c 15:46, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
References have since been added but you went and wiped it anyway! Is the reference to the extensive work carried out by the worlds largest Whale and Dolphin conservation society not reliable enough for you? Roberty talk - contrib 15:48, 13 June 2007
I went and removed all of the "Miami Seaprison" external links. They are not a reliable source, and should not be readded. Read WP:EL#Links normally to be avoided, and understand that the Seaprison site is filled with unverifiable claims. Horologium t-c 17:12, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
Neutrality still in question?
editI suggest that this article has largely been cleaned up and the neutrality is no longer in question. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Heat fan1 (talk • contribs) 03:30, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
The neutrality of this article is still/is now in a very questionable state. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.225.243.94 (talk) 11:21, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
Regarding Recent Edits
editI've noticed a number of recent edits to the page regarding the aquarium's orca. These edits may or may not be in fact true, but they need to comply with WP:ORIG, WP:SOURCE, and WP:NPOV. Remember, as WP:SOURCE clearly states; Do not leave unsourced or poorly sourced information that may damage the reputation of living persons or organizations in articles and do not move it to the talk page. Thanks! ThePointblank (talk) 18:45, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
Edits on Oct. 13, 2011
editI removed material from the article which was not supported by reliable sources. In particular, I removed the material about criticism of the park because it cited SoundNews, which is a WordPress site. As WordPress is often used for open-edited sites just as wikis are, I must view it as not being a reliable source unless and until I am convinced otherwise. I also removed the material about the University of Miami Marine Lab. That material was based on a misreading of the cited source (which can still be seen via the Wayback Machine. The Marine Lab existed for years before the Seaquarium was built, and never had any connection to it other than a common property line. -- Donald Albury 12:16, 13 October 2011 (UTC)

Lease termination: Is the Seaquarium still there?
editSo if their lease was terminated, are they still there? 2601:541:880:38C0:A4ED:72B2:3763:9876 (talk) 18:15, 3 September 2024 (UTC)
- The latest news item I have found, from June 25, is about the Seaquarium fighting the eviction. I presume it is wending its way through the courts. Donald Albury 18:59, 3 September 2024 (UTC)
