I propose splitting the content of this article to Memphis Chicks (Southern Association) and Memphis Chicks (Southern League). It seems unreasonable to consider them the same team. They share a name and a city, but there is a 17-year gap between the two during which time the Memphis Blues played in the city. With the creation of the Southern League team, there was talk that the Chicks were "returning", but that seems to be wholly promotional—the "Chicks" moniker was chosen through a fan name-the-team-contest.
