Polish/Russian Melamed?

- The word melamed it is Hebrew and it means "one who causes another to learn [Torah]" i.e. teacher or tutor in English. It also implies part of the process of early Torah study for and by children. It applies to any place Jews use it. IZAK (talk) 15:15, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
