Capitalization

In the Cell and Molecular Biology textbook The Cell (4th ed. Alberts et al.), Mdm2 is capitalized.JohnJohn 03:33, 3 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

The general convention is that the names of human genes are UPPER CASE (MDM2) while the corresponding genes in other species is Title case (Mdm2). This article deals with both so it is not clear whether upper or title case should be used. Boghog2 (talk) 20:56, 9 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
