In february 2007 Mario Ančić was diagnosed with mononucleosis! Recovery will take at least 3 months. It is expected that his first appearance on the court will be at 2007 Rolland Garos. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.205.8.194 (talkcontribs) 10:02, 3 April 2007

Ranking

edit

It has his highest ranking, but not his current ranking. this is a glaring over sight. the box to the right should contain his current ATP ranking —Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.245.244.34 (talk) 09:51, 8 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

If we introduced this feature to the playerbox for Ancic, we'd have to do it for every active pro and it's simply too difficult. If people want to find out his current ranking, they can look it up elsewhere - even the external links should lead you to it. Wikipedia isn't a news site and there's no great loss if it remains static on some facets of information. Yohan euan o4 (talk) 23:41, 16 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Merger proposal

The result of this discussion was to merge MakeSense64 (talk) 13:54, 2 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

I propose that Mario Ančić career statistics be merged into Mario Ančić. The articles are within the same scope and not too big to merge. Standalone career statistics articles can get deleted by the community as happened in this case Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Anna_Chakvetadze_career_statistics.

MakeSense64 (talk) 12:57, 8 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • Merge - I agree to the merge as the main page is not that large. I don't really agree with the secondary criterion that it should be because career stats pages can be deleted by the community... that goes for all articles created on wikipedia. That Anna Chakvetadze career statistics page was deleted because all the info was already on the main page and it was redundant. Fyunck(click) (talk) 09:20, 15 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

==December 2012==

Assessment as a part of 2012 WP:CRO drive, performed on 16 December 2012:

  • B1 (referencing) - criterion not met: The article has certain shortcomings in terms of referencing. All areas requiring citations are marked inline - 7 of them in total. Most of them are of substantial importance to the article, including statistics, olympic medal etc, therefore required by WP:BCLASS. I imagine those should not be hard to reference.
  • B2 (comprehensiveness and accuracy) - criterion met.
  • B3 (article structure) - criterion met.
  • B4 (reasonably well-written prose) - criterion met. Not good enough for GA or better though.
  • B5 (supporting materials) - criterion met.
  • B6 (appropriately understandable presentation) - criterion met.
A lot of work went into this article, but it still falls short of the B-class due to the referencing issue only. Consequently downgraded to C-class. Once those are addressed the article will probably need a lead conforming to WP:LEAD and a copyedit to have a shot at GA.--Tomobe03 (talk) 12:24, 16 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
