2004 WSOP hand

edit

I'm not sure what issues there are with the pargraph on the 2004 WSOP hand. The section removed by 80.60.157.141 is in fact backed up by the link that user provided. If anyone could clarify, that would be appreciated. Thanks. Essexmutant 22:31, 27 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

The link does not back it up but shows the paragraph is wrong, as the opponent did not say he had ace king. Wether someone looks stunned or not is a little harder to judge, but to me the opponent did not look stunned at all also. It would of course be possible to change the paragraph to accomodate these facts, but I think it is better to leave it out completely. Given the high reraise by the opponent, one could almost be certain he had a high pocket pair. Since Marcel was holding one ace himself, pocket kings were more likely then pocket aces. The reaction of the opponent (pretending to not have heard correctly) afterwards may have removed all doubt. It is no special read and therefore not worthwhile including. One could add paragraphs like these to almost any poker players bio, without adding any useful information. --8060 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.60.157.141 (talkcontribs)
Seems fair to me. I felt it was a weak paragraph anyway (no offence to 12.23.189.2 btw), although please remember that it is important to use edit summaries to explain why you are making edits to the pages, otherwise they can be mistaken for vandalism. Also, please sign your comments on Talk pages using ~~~~. Cheers. Essexmutant 07:14, 29 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
