"Chathunni Nair, Puthur, Kozhikode:
On September 28, the Mappilams came home. We ran away. They tied my hands. The neighbor did the same to the cowherd in the manger. They took him to the well in Nagalikkau Paramba west of Mutumana Illam, cut him and threw him into the well. I agreed to join Islam. I recited some verses from the Qur'an and had food. Six people were converted. I saw two Nayans captured from Nileswaram and four Theis captured from Koduvalli being killed with swords near that well.
Gopalan Nair at Vellakiri Kuttipuram, Puthur, Ernad:
About 300 Mappilas came home at 8pm on September 24. Karunakaran Nair came out with a knife, stick and sword and clashed with the Mappilas. Four people were killed and some were injured. He ran to the gate and a spear thrown by a Mappila hit him in the neck. He died. The Mappilas looted everything. They looted my three houses. A house was burnt to ashes. Our temple was destroyed. 60 Hindus were converted. Two other temples in Vengara were also destroyed. Cows were killed.
"Kaipadat Kunjunni Nair, Koduvayur, Ernad:
Here, three out of 50 Hindu houses were burnt, the rest were destroyed, seven people were killed, 50 people were converted, five temples were destroyed, five young women were raped.[1][2][3]

- Ningalonnichpovuka, no. See WP:HISTRS. TrangaBellam (talk) 07:00, 4 September 2022 (UTC)
- ok, thanks for guidance. I have gone through it and read that fully.
- I have understand that adding news report from international prominent news paper is fine, as a historical point of view, as already one news report of Variyan kunnen is added in the article.
- So i will be adding these news reports alone. Ningalonnichpovuka (talk) 17:01, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
The phrase "rebellion suppressed" in the infobox should be "rebellion ceased"
editWe see , not † against the names of leaders of the rebellion in the infobox. Actually rebels have surrendered. The rebels were also captured. That is how the rebellion was "suppressed". So there was no such a suppression literally. The word "suppression" here is misleading. This should be replaced with "rebellion ceased". Moreover several names are seen added in the infobox which were not in the infobox for a long time. It should be considered removing their names if they have not led the rebellion. M. P. Naraya Menon advocated for non-violence; hence cannot be considered as a leader of the rebellion. Neutralhappy (talk) 02:00, 21 September 2022 (UTC)
Moreover Variyankunnath Kunjahammad Haji had disbanded his army on 18 December 1921. So again there was no suppression of the rebellion. Neutralhappy (talk) 02:38, 21 September 2022 (UTC)
@Kautilya3, you might be able to solve this problem. Neutralhappy (talk) 02:46, 21 September 2022 (UTC)
The First paragraph
editThere should be a change in the first paragraph for the sentence "The British had appointed high caste Hindus in positions of authority to get their support, this led to the protest turning against the Hindus.[1][better source needed]"
To :
The British used diivide and rule policy which led to viewing the rebellion as against Hindus, though rebels had turned against pro-British government Mappilas and Hindus alike. Neutralhappy (talk) 02:20, 21 September 2022 (UTC)

Remove the word popular
editI would like to change this sentence in first paragraph from "The popular uprising was also against the prevailing feudal system controlled by elite Hindus." to "The uprising was also against the prevailing feudal system controlled by elite Hindus."
I am unable to locate the origin of popular word in the citations, please correct me if wrong. And even then the popular seems to be abstract way to measure any rebellion and/or uprising or any historical event.
Pbeditwiki (talk) 19:31, 17 April 2023 (UTC)
- The use of the word 'popular' in this context is not meant to measure the rebellion, but rather to indicate that the uprising was carried out by people. Malayala Sahityam (talk) 22:14, 17 April 2023 (UTC)
- Done!
- Rebellion is carried out by people , it's a obvious fact! Afv12e (talk) 01:46, 22 May 2024 (UTC)

What started as a revolt against khilafat movement, suddenly changed into a hindu massacre and ethic cleansing mode. Sankaracharyaswamigal (talk) 11:58, 15 August 2023 (UTC)
- Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. — Paper9oll (🔔 • 📝) 16:25, 15 August 2023 (UTC)
