edit- support – This scope of this article encompases both the human gene/protein and the orthologous gene/proteins that exist in other species. The human and non-human ortholog are very similar in sequence, structure, and function. Hence the PrP article that focuses on the human gene/protein is an unnecessary content fork of this article. Finally there are numerous mice studies that are reference in the PrP article. Therefore the scope of the the PrP article is not even restricted to humans. Boghog (talk) 20:27, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
Heading self contradicting
editIt says that prions have been observed in almost all instances to be forms of PRNP, but need not be. So how have they been observed to be forms of PRNP if they can't be PRNP? 174.103.211.175 (talk) 02:17, 18 July 2024 (UTC)
