The Frugal Housewife, Dedicated to Those Who Are Not
editThis is apparently a very influential "cookery book", and may be worthy of coverage in this article. It was apparently quite popular (reprinted >30 times between 1829 and 1850) until it went out of fashion, partly due to her anti-slavery work. It might be good for someone familiar with the work to add a paragraph or two on the subject. Some good material is at [1], with a biography included at [2]. Jim 03:56, 20 February 2006 (UTC)

editThis is a clearly Modern Milly - Lydia was way before her time and she knew slavery was not right and neither are Men that say class C for a woman that is Christian, US citizen, Educated on Woman's History and obviously her song is on National T.V. and Internet in book's - This is a wonderful song and it is important that she was citizen and it is important that she was educated and she had the class and the education to know slavery was just wrong and woman's right's are morally correct - so class A to you Lydia Marie Child - only the ignorant would give you a class C - I am sure this person has been noted for nothing important !! You still have to be nice to ingnorant people to understand it is really just a lack of education on their part. I am proud to have your song on our family rides and proud of you who showed others the real life of being and educated american.AnnieYerardi (talk) 19:09, 23 November 2012 (UTC)
