  • Huh, doesn't seem like a bad idea to do, if Wikipedia is becoming too much to handle and one can not let go. Personally, I luckily am able to just disappear for a wikibreak from time to time ^^
And thus, while I totally respect Nyanardsan's decision, I feel like this DYK need not fail. I've got a spare QPQ which I would "donate" (this one), if that is possible, and also do any work on the article that does not require me reading Indonesian (which I can't; but there may be others who could help me in such cases). Basically, I'd take over for them. Not because failing a DYK nom is not an option, but because I randomly can. --LordPeterII (talk) 18:23, 27 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
Also, I'd be grateful if any review can wait for a tiny bit, as I adjust some info in the article, based on English sources found. --LordPeterII (talk) 21:30, 27 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
Okay, I have finished working on the article. Again, please direct any comments towards me, as Nyanardsan is on an extended break (@Narutolovehinata5 maybe you could add me as responsible here as well). I also have some more hook ideas, both rather silly and reasonable:
  • ALT2... that there was a battle involving Loli on 5th November 1998?
  • ALT3... that 5th November 1998 has been called "Bloody Thursday" in Loli?
  • ALT4... that malaria was the leading cause of child mortality in Loli?
  • ALT5... that people in Loli traditionally derive their social identity from the village they were born in? Bulu, Anando Dedi (2017). Solidaritas dalam Ritual Wulla Poddu: Studi terhadap Bentuk-Bentuk Ritual Wulla Poddu di Kampung Tambera, Desa Doka Kaka, Kecamatan Loli-Kabupaten Sumba Barat (Bachelor thesis) (in Indonesian). Program Studi Sosiologi FISKOM-UKSW. Archived from the original on June 8, 2020. Retrieved July 23, 2022.
My personal preference is for ALT2, maybe for April's Fool, since it is straining the normal pre-requisite of hooks not being misleading (then of course, dropping the (district) part in the first place is reasonable, but bound to play with unsuspecting reader expectations). But that's for the reviewer to decide :) --LordPeterII (talk) 16:43, 28 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
I've added you as a co-nom, but I don't have the time to review this so another editor can probably take a look instead. Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 08:21, 29 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

  • Hey Oceanchaos (I think something went wrong while signing your last edit), I agree a map would be nice, but I'm not sure if a locator map for Indonesia would be that helpful. Ideally, we'd have a map with the district outlines of Sumba island, but alas I can't even find an official map with these (but then I'm only the stand-in, and can't search Indonesian sites). I've added that historical one because that's all I could find. If others agree a pushpin map could be added, but again it would be rather difficult to see much at that scale. --LordPeterII (talk) 20:09, 6 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • Good point; I was thinking that even Sumba might not be familiar to everyone. Perhaps we could use this map then? It contains an inset showing the location of the island.

Also, should this article have a {{Infobox settlement}} template as well, even if it's mostly empty? Oceanchaos (talk) 20:27, 6 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
