Will there be Kaithi 2?

He confirmed that Kaithi 2 will kickstart once Lokesh Kanagaraj completes his works for 'Thalapathy 67'. So, we can expect the shooting of 'Kaithi 2' to commence by the end of next year. Vikram Sequel

For the unversed, Kaithi starring Karthi was Lokesh's second film as a director. In other words, Vikram is a sequel-of-sorts of Kaithi. In a recent interview with Film Companion, Kamal Haasan revealed that there is a connection between the 1986 film and the upcoming one.
