Added a new table
editAdded Paul Tempan's list of 100 highest mountains in Ireland (plus his work on placenames etc). Shortened down some of the translations just to make the table more readable (already huge as it stands). Also, need to be clear that the official UIAA mountain definition is 150m in prominence (what Mountainviews uses). There is a lot of "fog" in this article around the 150m issue for some reason. - Realising that I have started re-writing this article. A key issue is clarifying the importance of prominence (from which all definitions feeds off), and I think the article needs the tables to include the prominence data before finalising the text. - Have added the prominences from MountainView's OSI table and highlighted the Real Munros and P600s.Britishfinance (talk) 10:31, 3 October 2018 (UTC)
October 2018 MountainViews Online Database download
editI have marked the three main tables, 100 Highest, Vandeleur-Lynams, and Arderins as downloads from the 2018 MountainViews Online Database. Note that as prominence is very hard to measure accurately, these tables will be subject to revision in the future. It is important, however, not to make individual changes to a particular mountain's data on the table (just add the issue as a Note in the notelist, as the source will become contaminated, and the tables will lose their usability. More important will be to re-download the tables every year or so. Britishfinance (talk) 18:53, 8 October 2018 (UTC)
