List of railway bridges

edit

Hi User:Useddenim, this page came up on my watchlist because it linked to one or more railway bridge articles that I created in the past. Hey, in my opinion, this is not a valid disambiguation page because if it were it would only include places known as "Railway Bridge" or very similar, not like Kafue Railway Bridge. If kept as it is now, this page will likely be nominated for deletion in wp:AFD processes or otherwise become disputed.

However, in my view it would be fine to have a worldwide explicit list of railway bridges, as the topic meets requirements for standalone lists in Wikipedia detailed at, i think wp:SAL. I'd like to suggest this be renamed/moved to List of railway bridges and viaducts. There already exist some natural sublists which could/should be linked, such as:

Could you please just go ahead and make that move, and/or discuss here?

By the way, I have myself created or developed many worldwide list-articles; recently i have been working on List of locomotives (which had been nominated for deletion but is obviously a valid Wikipedia topic IMHO) and developing a sublist currently at Draft:Preserved locomotives in the United States. cheers, --Doncram (talk) 14:34, 18 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Doncram:   Moved. Please review, as the lede may nede to be fixed up. I've also restored Railway bridge (disambiguation) to something that's probably more appropriate, according to your comments above. Useddenim (talk) 15:17, 18 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, I think this is better. I have been embroiled in disputes in the past, like over what I was trying to keep as "U.S. Post Office" which was moved to List of United States post offices (and eventually i came to agree that was better).
By the way, for railway bridges that cross jurisdictions, I think they can/should be listed twice, e.g. show Tongjiang-Nizhneleninskoye railway bridge in China section and also in Russia section. I mostly edit on buildings, bridges, etc. listed within List of RHPs, and that's how we handle bridges and other things that span over. --Doncram (talk) 15:49, 18 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
I didn't insert duplicate listings, as I wasn't sure whether "more is better" or "less is better", but I will add them. I assume the same for states, too. Useddenim (talk) 15:55, 18 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
