Hulk and Static Shock

edit

Some unregistered user keeps removing The Incredible Hulk and Static Shock off the list and thinks they never aired in reruns on Disney XD, but they actually did. Clearly, this user hasn't been around when Disney XD came into the world. He/she really needs to learn to stop messing with this page. FilmandTVFan28 (talk) 03:54, 1 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

I agree. It seems several other shows have been removed as well. Sadly, I think the best thing to do at this point is to add them back and hope they don't get deleted again. If this becomes an issue, you can request Semi-protection so that only registered users may make edits. --74.110.141.60 (talk) 15:14, 3 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

When did it say that Star and the Forces of Evil is a Disney XD show?

When did it say that Star and the Forces of Evil is a Disney XD show? It there any proof that Star and the Forces of Evil is now is Disney XD show?

The show previewed at Comic Con as an XD show. --Trogga 03:01, 26 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Repeats

edit

I've removed content about repeat broadcasts in this edit. I don't think this sort of thing is noteworthy as television series are rerun constantly here-or-there without it being significant. Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information. If we were to make a note of every time I Love Lucy was re-run, for example, we would never get anything else done. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 04:03, 11 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Marvel Universe

edit

How can the Marvel shows but not Star Wars be considered "Acquired programming"? They were clearly created for the network.

Airline Earth

edit

Yes, apparently, Disney XD is partnering with Warner Bros. Animation to produce this new show called "Airline Earth". And it should be in the upcoming programming list for Disney XD.

Right Now Kapow has ended

edit

(Source: http://www.toonzone.net/forums/threads/right-now-kapow-news-discussion-thread.5598951/page-5#post-85313881)

The reason I've moved this to the discussion instead of simply adding it to the reruns section is because..... Well, I already have, twice, and the edits were reverted because "they weren't credible." So, I'm just explaining why this is legitimate.

Yes, this news was announced on ToonZone (which normally isn't credible, I know), but the difference here is that it wasn't some random jackass who spread the news. It was the character designer, aka, SOMEONE WHO WORKED FOR THE DAMN SHOW, and as thus would get notified by the network immediate if their show was cancelled (and, as a result, I'd like to think he'd know what he was talking about if he said the show he had an active role in was over). I'm sorry for getting a bit upset (I think I've actually been diagnosed with anger management issues, tho), but I'd like to think that (and it's been said many a time), that a cast member's words regarding their are some of the solidest and most reliable sources we can use for saying a show is over. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.222.248.149 (talk) 16:32, 1 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

The source is to the comments section of an article. Even if the article itself were reliable, the comments about the article seldom are. A person with an unverified identity but claiming to be an insider made a statement. Not a reliable source for two reasons, can't verify he is who he says he is, does not speak for the production. Geraldo Perez (talk) 19:39, 1 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
Please see the related discussion at Talk:Lab Rats: Elite Force#Redux – WP:NOTNEWS and WP:NORUSH are directly applicable here: we are under no obligation to report that a show is over until we get a reliable report of a cancellation announcement from either the series' broadcasting network or the series' executive producers. Wikipedia is not in the "news" business, and there is no need for us report that a show is over without a Reliable source to back it up. --IJBall (contribstalk) 19:50, 1 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
I see where you two are coming from, but A: Although he's not part of the production, I would like to think that the production staff would inform the cast members of their show if it was cancelled/renewed, and B: Why would that be a fake account? What purpose would impersonating some random character designer serve? That argument would make some sense if the director or creator commented that news, but it's the character designer. Taking his identity would do literally NOTHING, for ANYONE. And I honestly can't see him sharing this news if he wasn't informed in SOME way by the development team that the show was over. And I don't see why he would lie about this either. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.222.248.149 (talkcontribs) 18:42, June 2, 2017 (UTC)
Who knows why someone might choose to impersonate someone else, they might just be doing it for the fun of it and to screw around with people by giving out misinformation. Really can't trust any anonymous person who gives an identity without some other form of validation. Generally why we require a validated account or some trusted secondary source to vouch for someone. Given that, it is likely him but can't be certain. Part of the reason we don't take the word of people not authorized to speak for companies is that they may not be fully informed as to what is happening. They see their portion of the work but may not be involved in decisions and planning. Also, some employees might not have the best interests of the company in mind when they release non-authorized information for whatever employee-employer reason and it might not even be true. Really hard to trust a source like that. Geraldo Perez (talk) 19:13, 2 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
Okay. Let's just wait it out for now before we do anything else. (This is still me, AWC 205.222.248.149. I'm just using a different computer). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.240.131.237 (talk) 19:33, 2 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Future-Worm: Demise imminent

edit

Starting on June 19, 2017, the final episodes of Future-Worm will be burned off.

The official image provided by the Disney XD executives on the Disney Television Animation website confirming this news is linked down below: (http://68.media.tumblr.com/a7fdb81c36c1c6cef99746e470d66d0e/tumblr_oprm0nT51u1v79cwgo3_1280.png)

The reason why I'm giving this a topic to tell all of you? So that when the last episode airs and the show is put in the reruns section (or the Former section if they choose not to air reruns), I won't get accused of vandalism and "trying to ruin the page" and whatnot.96.240.131.237 (talk) 19:48, 2 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Lab Rats: Elite Force, Kirby Buckets.

edit

Um, Kelli Berglund confirmed that Lab Rats: Elite Force was cancelled after one season so it should be in either the "rerun" section or the "former programming" area, I'd say fhe same the with Kirby Buckets but Disney hasn't said it's been cancelled yet. --- A wikipedia user. Um, hi, same guy, I'm sure Kelli Berglund would know if the show's been cancelled. SHE'S A CAST MEMBER ON THE SHOW FOR PETE'S SAKE!!! Plus, she confirmed that it was not renewed for a second season on her Twitter, so I believe she's telling the truth, man, Wikipedia is so strict and dumb. -- Same guy. August 20, 2017. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.58.132.219 (talk) 14:55, 20 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
Kelly Berglund is not the network or the showrunner, so her word essentially means nothing. We would need an official announcement from Disney XD or the showrunner, and with neither of those, we need to wait one year since the last episode before changing the series to ended. Amaury (talk | contribs) 17:35, 20 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
Amaury is right – cast are sometimes the last to know what's going on with the TV series they work on. Berglund may believe that the show is over, but she's not really in a position to know that with 100% certainty, as she doesn't control the production of the show (or any potential followup TV movies that could result)... In terms of WP:V, we can't list a show as "officially cancelled" until we get an announcement from either the network or the TV series' showrunner(s). Otherwise, we wait until a year after the last first-run episode has aired to move it to "officially cancelled". Also note that Wikipedia is not a "news service", but is more of a "historical record" of events, so we are under no obligation to report the "latest up-to-date news" here – waiting a year to record a show as "cancelled" is really not a big deal for a Wikipedia article... --IJBall (contribstalk) 18:14, 20 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

About the Future of Disney XD

edit

Now if anyone had been recently finding some sort of sources that may explain about Disney XD and its shows, now recently, ever since when Disney had announced two new Disney series, Amphibia and The Owl House, that was made by two former Gravity Falls staff, which it was announced that these two new animated series are listed as a "Disney Channel" original, instead of being Disney XD, which it surprised many that it'll air on the main channel, while not including Star VS The Forces of Evil being moved to the main channel for its fourth season, and others like Ducktales (2017), Milo Murphy's Law and including the upcoming series, Big City Greens, following the same direction, which it leaves Disney XD with no incoming or upcoming original series to air, aside from reruns of older shows and acquisitions of anime, the future of the series is quite questionable and uncertain whether it'll become just like how Nicktoons and Boomerang became or something unlikely, no one knows for sure. Remove DuckTales, Big Hero 6, and The Owl House from Current programming and move them to Former programming.

edit

Can DuckTales (2017), Big Hero 6: The Series, and The Owl House please be removed from current programming and moved to former programming? I've checked TV Passport (which is a very reliable site) and none of these shows are mentioned to air reruns at any of the upcoming dates of the Disney XD TV schedule. Besides, these shows I mentioned already ended so there's no point of keeping them at current programming forever. Big Hero 6: The Series hasn't aired any reruns at Disney XD since December 25, 2022 which is last year and DuckTales (2017) and The Owl House have been recently pulled off from the Disney XD schedule since July 30, 2023 and August 18, 2023 respectively.
