Talk:List of multi-level marketing companies/Archives/2008

PPLSI

I changed the spelling of Pre-paid legal services to Pre-Paid Legal Services, Inc. as the former is a page about the industry in general, and the latter will be a page about the company itself. I will create that page in a few hours. Dansiman 18:39, 22 February 2006 (UTC)

Mona Vie

Mona Vie has stated that they currently have 400,000 distributors and is one of the fastest growing MLM's in the country. Please add to the database.(HowardV)

Please first write an article about them that isn't an advertisement for them, and that has information confirmed by independent reliable sources. Then we'll think about adding it to the list. Αργυριου (talk) 20:56, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

AMS Health Sciences

20 year old mlm company based in Oklahoma City. Publicly traded on the (AMEX: AMM).

When there's an article about them in Wikipedia that isn't spam, feel free to add them to the list. User:Argyriou (talk) 18:10, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

Agel

I added 'Agel' since it seems to be one of the most popular lately. At least, in my country (Israel) I hear this name more and more, and it seems to grow fast right now. It will be nice if someone will put some info about this company. 89.139.135.190 10:13, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

And I've deleted it because there is no article about them on Wikipedia. Please write an article about them first, then add them to this list. Argyriou (talk) 18:28, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

Wealthpools International

Can you look more info about Wealthpools International, if indeed is a MLM. This is the company's website[1]

Loooks like a classic MLM. However, unless there is an article in Wikipedia about the company, they shouldn't be added to this list. There should only be an article in Wikipedia if they meet the requirements of WP:N and WP:CORP - essentially, there must be multiple independent sources of information about them before they are considered notable enough for Wikipedia. Shaklee

There really, really needs to be a non-spammy article about Shaklee, because it's one of the most prominent MLM companies out there; however, we have a policy for this list that we do not include redlinks. If we remove that policy, the list will end up flooded by hundreds of fly-by-night ponzi scheme. If we make an exception for Shaklee, we'll spend endless time arguing with the promoters of those Ponzi schemes over why they don't deserve the exception. For now, we should keep Shaklee off the list until someone creates an article. Argyriou (talk) 20:10, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

Problem solved; see Shaklee Corporation. --A. B. (talk) 17:35, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

Need to Add Oxyfresh, Inc.

Oxyfresh is a very reputable Network Marketing Company that has been in business for over 20 years. Would you please add this company to your list? URL is WWW.Oxyfresh.com Thank you.

Also Should ad

  • CutCo/Vector Marketing (whatever they're calling it theses days)
  • Amazon Products out of FL
  • Zija
  • Tahitian Noni
  • Supranaturals
  • Rodan & Fields (they previously started and sold Proactive)

Holiday Magic

The company has a non-spam article, and should remain on this list, even if it's no longer around. Perhaps especially because of why it's not around Argyriou (talk) 02:49, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

template

I've created a template, {{MLM-list}}, for use in notifying people why we've removed their pet MLM from the list. It reads as follows (using the most recent addition as an example):

Welcome to Wikipedia. Your addition of GoYin to the List of multi-level marketing companies was reverted, as the company does not have an article on Wikipedia at present. If you would like to write an article about the company, feel free to start it; however, please be sure to comply with Wikipedia's policies on notability, reliable sources, conflict of interest, and spam. If the article is not removed for violating those policies, then feel free to add the company back to the list. Thank you.

This is intended for use on people's talk pages, should probably be subst:'d, and should be followed by a signature. Argyriou (talk) 19:29, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
