Should the page be renamed, if most of the articles listed are not genres? Should G-funk and Dirty South really be in the regional scenes section? Isn't there non-west-coast G-funk? There was a British group [1] and a lot of east coast hip hop influenced by Dre. Anyway, some of Dre's collaborators were from the east, such as Kurupt. Tim Ivorson 12:09, 30 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Timba

is most usually not connected to Hip Hop at all. Of course you can fuse them, just as you can fuse grunge and Mozart. Get-back-world-respect 23:32, 14 February 2006 (UTC)

Probably shouldn't. Influence isn't enough; it either has to be a subgenre or a hip hop fusion genre.--Urthogie 18:42, 5 May 2006 (UTC)

New Orleans hip hop

There is no need to add New Orleans hip hop to the list. It is already there under regional scenes. Tim Ivorson 2006-07-25

Hiphop_westafrica

west african countries have also taken into hiphop but with a different twist. some artists flow in their local tongues on a hiphop beat, some do american rap on their locally made beat thronged wit hiphop drums, but the most contemporary 1 which seems to be gaining wide popularity now is when local african instruments like the kora are incoperated into a western hiphop beat,the product is beautiful and in itself music. Reworked regional section list and these and got such a list. Categories for these scenes already exist, but articles are missing. I feel like it's worth keeping this list, so posting it here.
