Duplication
editThis is a fine article. But isn't it a duplication of List of Prime Ministers of Turkey ? Nedim Ardoğa (talk) 12:24, 25 July 2013 (UTC)
- Yes, there's a lot of overlap with List of Prime Ministers of Turkey and Coalition governments in Turkey. I could imagine the coalition list merged into this one - I don't think it's really necessary to have a separate list of the coalition governments if you've got a list of all governments. (I like that Coalition governments in Turkey is sortable and has a separate column for the PM party; maybe we could do that here.)
- The PM list is trickier because it's focussed on Prime Ministers, not governments, so it ignores coalition partners (including cases where the PM was independent but governed with the backing of a major party), and the dating of governments creates a quite confusing-looking table. I'm not sure what to do. I've found this article very useful; it's easy to interpret and annotate about key points in Turkish political history. (I'm also happy to avoid PM photographs, which make the table bigger and harder to scan without adding information; though party logos might help with scanning.) - I agree with Podiaebba, List of Prime Ministers, List of Cabinets and Parliamentary terms may sound similar, but their focus is different. However, Coalition governments may be merged into this page.--Joseph (talk) 18:37, 23 April 2018 (UTC)
- (wow, I didn't recognize that this is a five-year discussion!)--Joseph (talk) 18:38, 23 April 2018 (UTC)
