A Bodhisattva is not a god but an Enlightment Being who aid people with their sufferings. 'Bodhi' means spiritual awakening while 'sattva' means essence. Gods are supernatural beings who are worshipped as the personification or controller of an aspect of the universe and they are also in charge in overseeing the portion of worldy affairs, which is not the job of a bodhisattva. Bodhisattvas are considered to be 'kami' as they are spirits and 'shen' in Chinese means 'good spirits' although they are not perfectly good. It can be noted that Kanzeon is call the 'Merciful Goddess' in the west, however when it is say that she is 'aka' the 'Merciful Goddess' that is misleading. Also Kinkaku, Ginkaku, Kami-sama, the Spider Monster, the Scorpion Monster, Professor Hwang, Jiroushin, Li Touten, Konzen, Kenren and Tenpou (although Sanzo, Kenren, and Tenpou are they reincarnations or rebirth forms something should be written about them as are missing from the list. I am not sure about Ancient Chinese religions, but Buddhism claims that they believe in rebirth not reincarnation which is why I am not sure what they are considered.). There is also Daichi who appeared in the Saiyuki Offroad Series and recently in the Saiyuki Reload Blast manga with Taruche although not much is known about him something should be written like he was about to communicate with Goku through a dream.--184.34.72.129 (talk) 17:39, 8 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
