Inclusion of music shows
edit@Nkon21 I'm not sure if there is a consensus on the inclusion of music shows, but I think they could be included since articles for American artists list performances on television shows (List of Lady Gaga live performances and List of Taylor Swift live performances) and even K-pop articles list performances on regular American television shows like The Late Late Show (List of BTS live performances and List of Blackpink live performances), which are basically the same as music show appearances imo. - On other concert lists that I've seen for other Korean artists, music show appearances (Inkigayo, Music Bank, etc.) aren't included so that's why I removed them, as K-pop singers appear on many music shows for multiple weeks so their appearances aren't really notable. Regarding the scope row thing, there isn't really consistent usage as pages for Ariana Grande, Rihanna and Coldplay put them first as does pages for all other Korean artists, so that's why I switched the columns here. ɴᴋᴏɴ21 ❯❯❯ talk 19:22, 7 August 2023 (UTC)
- I don't think that the frequency of the appearances makes it less notable though. Music shows are covered by multiple sources and I would say they are on-par with other American or Japanese shows covered in K-pop lists. Honestly, I thought that music shows weren't included in K-pop lists just because it's kinda hard to find old sources (2013, 2014, etc.) and no one really wants to keep track of it. I'd say the appearances can be kept in the article as long as they are sourced and notable (example of non-notable is the NPOP appearance, since the show itself is not notable for now), if we want to be coherent with the inclusion of television shows. Otherwise, the exclusion of all television shows could be discussed on the Wikiproject Korea or the Wikiproject Music maybe?
- For the dates, I think it would be better to keep the style used in featured lists, just because it establishes a clearer timeline in case of multiple appearances on the same show/festival imo. Poirot09 (talk) 12:33, 8 August 2023 (UTC)
- Help:Table#Scope states that row headers are identified with scope="row" so it's more intended to have the column first (unless we have the dates column formatting with the scopes instead, I would think that would be fine too). As for the music show appearances, I honestly don't have strong opinions but in the long run it will bloat this page a bit. ɴᴋᴏɴ21 ❯❯❯ talk 15:19, 8 August 2023 (UTC)
- Okay, I'll switch the event and date columns in accordance with the guidelines. For now, I'll restore the music shows, but if it becomes an issue it might be re-discussed later. Poirot09 (talk) 09:43, 9 August 2023 (UTC)
