Who was the former Labour MP who vanished in 1920? Jackiespeel (talk) 19:31, 4 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

The Wikipedia:Reference desk is the place for questions such as this, but as it happens, your answer isn't on this list anyway - it was Victor Grayson, who was an ILP member but not a Labour Party endorsed MP. Warofdreams talk 23:40, 4 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

This list needs to be updated to reflect the 2010 General Election. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.111.70.145 (talk) 13:04, 18 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

SDP MPs

edit

The article seems inconsistent about Labour MPs who later joined the SDP in 1981 or afterwards. For instance Bill Rodgers is correctly listed as a Labour MP until his resignation from the party to join the new SDP as a founding member in 1981. However the other three members of the "Gang of Four" are not here yet David Owen was a Labour MP when the SDP was formed and Shirley Williams and Roy Jenkins had both been Labour MPs in the past (and all four had been Labour cabinet ministers]]. Other Labour MPs to switch to the SDP in 1981 not included in the list include Tom Ellis, Eric Ogden and John Grant. I think they should be added as they were Labour MPs despite eventually leaving the party and some SDP defectors are included. In addition to Rodgers, Dickson Mabon is here, though I would suggest his date of service be changed as from 1981 to 1983 he was an SDP member. Dunarc (talk) 22:43, 6 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
