Other planned or recently active teams
editOkay, almost all of the teams in this section have not raced in 5+ years or so, so they are obviously no longer active. If nobody has any objections to removing them, then I will remove them from the section and replace them with other teams that would fit in that category (the few that there are). 173.67.173.109 (talk) 18:24, 23 January 2016 (UTC)

Mann Motorsports was owned by D.B. Mann, an Indianapolis real estate developer, no relation to Pippa. TeamXtreme the IndyCar team is different from the NASCAR team with a similar name. Knapp Motorsports was not owned by Steve Knapp (who incidentally owns Elite Racing engines who builds the engines for USF2000), Knapp Motorsports was owned by Thomas Knapp. Cobb Racing was owned by Price Cobb. 310 Racing was an offshoot of 310 Motoring. Brickell Racing was owned by Butch Brickell. Roe Racing was indeed owned by Billy Roe or his family. Tempero-Guiffre racing was owned by Bill Tempero and the owner of Guiffre Cranes (who incidentally still supplies the crane-trucks for IMS). Blueprint Racing was owned by Jim Guthrie. Access Motorsports was owned by Greg Ray. Zali Racing and IZ Racing were essentially the same entity, owned by Eric Zimmerman, the same guy who drive American Dream Motorsports into the ground. Nienhouse Motorsports was owned by a guy named Phil Nienhouse (I have no clue how that name stuck in my head but a google search confirms it). Harrington Motorsports was Scott Harrington. Duesenberg Brothers Racing's principal was Keith Duesenberg who is apparently a descendant of the Duesenberg family of car manufacture fame, although his relation is never really made clear. Sinden Racing is owned by Jeff Sinden and they still exist (they operate the IndyCar 2-seater under contract from Honda). Della Penna should have an article. That will be my first order of business when I get time as they had a fair amount of success and operated, albeit briefly, in both the IRL and CART. -Drdisque (talk) 03:43, 25 August 2017 (UTC)
Thanks for the info! That'll definitely help out in the long run!
New question though: Do entities such as Curb-Agajanian Performance Group and Jonathan Byrd's Racing count as race teams when all they've done is run jointly with other teams throughout their existence? Under the criteria that they ARE their own teams, then Curb-Agajanian has two Indy 500 wins as co-owners. Do those wins count or do they only count toward Bryan Herta Autosport and Andretti Autosport? Rocks with Salt (talk) 15:44, 25 August 2017 (UTC)
