Heading levels
editIs there a specific reason why these headings should be different than the ones on List of American artists 1900 and after? -- User:Docu
- There are a few differences - actually on - after 1900 - editing more contemporary artists is generally more specific, ie. the 1930s or the 1950s or the 1970s etc. Whereas the earlier pre-1900 list generally includes many more obscure entries that sometimes entail multiple decades, and multiple inclusions as they become found...Modernist (talk) 14:38, 31 May 2009 (UTC)
- We could change the "pre-1800" to "==" and add another headline for "1800-1900"? The structure of these two parts of the page is somewhat different. -- User:Docu
- The format is fine...I'm thinking let D6 do its thing, and I'll work with the changes for awhile. The article (list) is mostly in place now anyway...Modernist (talk) 16:58, 31 May 2009 (UTC)

I suggest moving this article to List of American artists born before 1900. P. S. Burton (talk) 09:34, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
