Mistake in this article
editA lieu-dit is a small place bearing a name, but it can be either inhabited or uninhabited. This is indeed its main difference with a hamlet, which is a place that is always inhabited.
I'm positive about this. I've been through several lieux-dits today as there are many in my region (i'm French).
I wouldn't like to change the style of the article, could someone edit it properly please?
"English speakers seem to have discovered the concept through oenology"
editIt seems like this is an indirect choice of words. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.43.120.239 (talk) 20:36, 3 April 2022 (UTC)
- The article wouldn't be entirely useless if it didn't talk and talk about oenology. Read the French version to see what I mean. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.1.79.0 (talk) 03:18, 21 October 2023 (UTC)
