Which museum has the tablets now?
editI am trying to figure out where the Keret tablets are now. It seems likely that they are in the Louvre, where the other tablets from the Ras Shamra site are, such as the Epic of Danel. However, I could not find any confirmation of this so far. I searched Louvre's web site but did not get anything there (although the data about their holdings available at their website is probably incomplete). If anyone knows the answer to this question, or at least has a suggestion as to where to look, please reply here. Thanks, Nsk92 (talk) 18:09, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
- The three tablets KTU 1.14, KTU 1.15, and KTU 1.16 (also CTA ... for reasons unknown to me) are in Syria. This may have been in the period where finds were split 50/50 with the host country. In fact, a quick google should, hm, here we go:

- has the information, though of course you should double check that. Ploversegg (talk) 02:29, 21 July 2008 (UTC)ploversegg
- Very good, thanks! I had visited this site (and even added it as an EL link) but somehow missed the information about the current location of the tablets given there. Still, as you say, this does need to be verified further as the link as such does not really pass WP:RS. I'll look further into this. Thanks again, Nsk92 (talk) 02:37, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
Origin of Helen of Troy myth
editRobert Graves writes that Helen of troy was derived from the Ugarit epic Kerit, in which Keret's lawful wife Huray is abducted to Udm. Does anyone have any more on this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.100.220.108 (talk) 21:45, 17 September 2010 (UTC)
Date Scheme
editCool. A nice article (though as I understand it BCE is considered wrong to use over BC in the wiki-world). Ploversegg (talk) 23:53, 22 July 2008 (UTC)ploversegg
- Actually either format is allowed as long as it is consistent within an article according to the Manual of Style. --Erp (talk) 21:28, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
