founder?
edit- This article mentions Gerverau as the founder of "Histiconologia" - the history of images. Personally, I'm not quite sure how this differs from iconography. Perhaps this really is a new field, but in any case they are very similar. I think this merits at least a little research. If we determine that they really are the same field, we could say something like "Laurent Gervereau (born in Paris in 1956) is an artist, novelist and philosopher known for his contributions to the field of iconography. Gerverau has devoted his professional life to the world of images, as well as to the direction of cultural and international institutions."--Thedropsoffire (talk) 08:53, 21 November 2012 (UTC)
Translation
editIf someone can add some sources to this article, I'll happily provide a better translation, but seeing as it's been pretty much written by a single contributor both here and on the French Wikipedia, I'm inclined to just wait and see if any sources get added to the French version before the sticky PROD takes effect. Or is this man legitimately notable? If that's the case, I'll give the translation ASAP so other editors have a better idea of what needs sourcing, and where to put said sources. — further, Francophonie&Androphilie sayeth naught (Je vous invite à me parler) 02:44, 10 November 2012 (UTC)
- Also, I'm holding off on leaving a notice at WP:PNTCU since it looks like they have a pretty sizable backlog there, and I also don't want us to waste any translation resources on an article that might get deleted in 10 days... furthermore, I feel fairly competent to do the translation clean-up myself, but we'll see. — further, Francophonie&Androphilie sayeth naught (Je vous invite à me parler) 02:53, 10 November 2012 (UTC)
