editI don't know who nominated this for speedy deletion or on what basis. It clearly doesn't fit the criteria at Wikipedia:Speedy_deletions. Moreover, I'm surprised that they didn't have the courtesy to look at the page history and inform me about their decision. --Jbmurray 17:48, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
- It's clearly not a speedy-deletion candidate, and it's obvious to me (based on the article itself as well as my knowledge of the field) that this is a notable and worthy article topic. Perhaps a little more by way of direct citations to sources documenting the group's importance would help avert proposals of deletion by other Wikipedians who don't have direct knowledge of the field. -- Rbellin|Talk 00:01, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
- 10 seconds looking at the page history shows it's never been nominated for any kind of deletion, let alone a speedy. Where have you got the idea that it was? A previous version was tagged {{nn}} by myself, but that consisted of a two line article with no assertion of notability and a list of members - if I saw any article in that state I'd do the same — iridescent (talk to me!) 18:47, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
- Judging from comments at User talk:Jbmurray, a previous version of the article was speedied twice. You can see the log here. That seems pretty obviously inappropriate to me, as it's obviously at least a possibly notable topic worthy of an AfD discussion. -- Rbellin|Talk 18:53, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
