R. Shteinman's blessing
editThere have been repeated attempts to remove the line that states: During the 2008 South Ossetia War Gurgenidze requested a blessing from Rabbi Aharon Leib Shteinman. The Rabbi via telephone “blessed the Jewish community of Georgia and all who live in that place.”
In absence of any reasonable explanation I will continue to undo any vandal's revision in this area. BrooklynHabiru 09:00, 10 September 2008 (UTC)
Re: Kober "is this really so significant to the PM's biography?"
Yes it is. It provides insight into where his sentiments rest. A major government official finding it necessary to consult with any sort of religious authority while his nation is under siege is certainly noteworthy. BrooklynHabiru 21:32, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

The whole story is falsification. PM never called to ask blessing from Rabbi Shteinman. Please refer to:

please do not add this article to PM biography. Ydavid18 (talk) 21:15, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
- That is more than sufficient cause in my book to remove the reference, good sleuth-work. BrooklynHabiru 19:53, 21 September 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.190.106.188 (talk)
