Hindus???
editAre there really any Hindus in Kunri? I mean I saw maybe half a dozen there. The vast majority of the town is muslim, but Kunri is noted for having a large Christian minority. I don't really think there are many Hindus there.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.199.76.70 (talk • contribs) 06:14, December 21, 2006 (UTC)
Yes there is very large population, at least 1000 if not more.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.242.36.52 (talk • contribs) 07:16, December 21, 2006 (UTC)
"tutties"
edit- (This comment refers to the 18:58 December 19, 2006 version of the article)
What are tutties? The deletion log for the Tuttie page shows that the article was deleted as a "non-notable non-English slang dictdef". If so, it doesn't belong here, so I am removing references to "tuttie" until a clearer explanation for the term is provided, especially since Csbyrnes84 (talk · contribs) added a picture (diff) with the caption, "Typical street scene in Kunri. Notice the open sewers with matching tuttie", which convinces me that this is a derrogatory term. Neil916 (Talk) 19:51, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
Clean water
edit- (This comment refers to the 18:58 December 19, 2006 version of the article)
I'm also removing potentially offensive sentence "There is no clean water there, so people must leave the city to find clean water." as unverifyable unless someone can come up with some concrete citations for that fact. Neil916 (Talk) 19:51, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
Kutta bring back the tutties !!!!!
Honestly the water in Kunri is so bad. I don't know why you're in denial about this. The water there is sooooo dirty. I wouldn't drink it. Would you? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.199.76.70 (talk • contribs) 06:12, December 21, 2006 (UTC)
- I'm not in denial about it, I've never been there. I've heard similar statements about Los Angeles. But statements like "there is no clean water there, so people must leave the city to find clean water" are certainly likely to offend people who are emotionally attached to the town, so they need to be verifyable. Post a credible citation for the fact, and put it back in, because it is certainly notable if true. Neil916 (Talk) 16:38, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah but thats kind of dumb because there probably isn't anything written about he quality of the water (either in print or on the internet). Why are you even taking stuff out if you've never even been to Kunri? Its not bad water as in the USA, where the taste is in question, its bad water because you can get diseases and be hospitalized from drinking the tap water. Even the local people use filters and then boil the water before drinking it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.199.76.70 (talk • contribs) 21:02, December 22, 2006 (UTC)
- Because Wikipedia cannot include original research. If the quality of the water hasn't been written about in a credible source, the statement fails Wikipedia's verifyability standard, even if you lived there and you "knew" it was true. That's why, and it's not dumb. The Los Angeles comment was a joke, ignore it. Neil916 (Talk) 21:12, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
Honestly thats soooooo stupid. I have consulted with a man from Kunri, a Mr. Towee Bhatti and he told me to tell you that you are by far the biggest kutta known to mankind. Sooooooooooooooooo kutta. You haramzade.
- For whatever it's worth I'll add that I'm a forgeinor living in Kunri right now and drinking the water by the gallons. So far so good.
Stop lying you kuta and bring back the tutties —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nameerb (talk • contribs) 21:20, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
