Newsweek is not a credible source, they have scraped the info from a telegram channel. ( Two Majors).

Nobody else anywhere has claimed the Ukrainian army are anywhere near Korenevo.

I was waiting for an update. Reuters now mentions fighting near the settlement. Perhaps premature at the moment or something for the district article? I have not yet heard about the settlement itself being attacked. Mellk (talk) 16:45, 12 August 2024 (UTC)

Ukrainian forces of the 501st battalion have taken the village Apanasovka, Kursk region, further disrupting Russian lines between Korenevo and Glushkovo.
